Wish you continued recovery. Here are some an animated Star Trek gif to keep your spirits up. You are Kirk, and Cancer is Khan. Khan might come back, you'll still end up beating Khan in the long run.

My wife has Graves disease, the doctors said her markers were the highest they had ever seen. She had the radiation treatment. She is good now but they are having a hard time getting her medication adjusted correctly.

Ray,
Sorry to hear you are going through this. My grandmother had breast cancer, doctors recommended mastectomy but because she had perfect large breast she said no. Once the cancer spread to her lymphnodes she requested to have her breast removed, but then it was too late.
Moral: if cancer can be cut out, do so before it spreads to lymphnodes.
I have read several medical journals that a high sugar diet and low pH (acidic) diet feeds cancerous activity. So make sure diet is healthy and raise your pH level.
Spiritually speaking if one harbors resentment/unforgiveness/unrepentent sins (not saying this is you) it is cancerous to the soul/spirit. Utilize the wisdom of the doctors that God has provided, but certainly turn to God for a miracle of remission.
I just said a prayer for you.
God speed,
Troy

I've actually never heard of Graves' disease, although now I've been through radiation so i know what that's like and it's not fun. How's she doing now? My radiation was directed at the throat so I couldn't eat solid food for a few weeks and lost nearly 20 pounds. I hope her experience was better!

Thanks man!

That's some good advice, thanks. I asked if they could just cut it out but my oncologist said that cutting that area would increase the risk of it spreading. I read the same thing as you did about sugar; plus the fact that PET scans require a glucose injection to identify the location of the cancer really proves that point. I've largely cut sugar out of my diet since getting cancer and don't even desire most sweets now. I started on a diet including wheatgrass for a while which was supposed to raise my pH levels but that was a little harder to keep up; it doesn't taste too great lol

Anyway, just wanted to update everyone here that in the last couple weeks I completed the stem cell harvest as well as received the results of the PET/CT scan and it showed I'm 100% clean of cancer!! I'm super thankful to God, modern medicine, and our Canadian healthcare system! Thanks also to those of you who've posted here or messaged me with advice and encouragement or helped with finding medical journals; I really appreciate it.

I'd like to think animated star trek gifs also helped put you in the clear.

DAT WHAT SHE SAID.

wait, am i doing it rite?

And to stay on topic, Ray, can you comment on the alternative medicine you opted for? Interesting to hear about the sugar thing, I read a book no long ago titled "Sugar Blues", very interesting. I once stopped eating gluten and after a couple of days I notices I needed much less time of sleep and woke up much more refreshed and ready. For a briefer time I stopped eating sugar and though it was hard at first as the days passed by I found that my mood was much more constant during the day.

I also wanted to do the wheatgrass juice thing once but couldn't find the seeds around here and opted for a green juice fast, that too made me more calm, and funny enough, the thing people noticed most was how my skin, face and hair looked much better lol.

Thankfully chemo is finished and I've been discharged; now for radiation, a CT/PET scan, and stem cell harvest.

Way to go! Excellent news to hear of your recovery :)
