Yes, although I didn't mention it at the front (I thought it was a given, but as I found out yesterday on another tournie actually not so much). I suggest to be sure message your oppo and confirm with them to avoid any disagreements, as I probably can't police it easily given it wasn't in the original post.

I realize my mate and I volunteered to play in this tournament but I gotta say, the doubles format on Napoleonic Europe sucks. There is no strategy to the game play whatsoever. Whoever gets the better drop and wins more rolls in rounds 1 and 2, wins the game. Once you fall behind there is no way to come back as there is when there are more teams involved. It makes for a really dull tournament. my two cents.

i respect your opinion, although i don't share it. i think this is a great map for a doubles tournament. lots of complexity in terms of how bonus can be generated, which works well with no spoils. requires close communication with your teammate, as deploying to each other to gain an advantage becomes critical. even more tricky with fog/trench settings. if anything, this is an IDEAL doubles map. IMHO of course. beats the hell out of playing on a simple map where it really is about drop & rolls.

I tend to agree with the Buff^
My partner and I came back to win a few as my partner got sidetracked and missed his 1st turn in a cpl games of the 1st set. I thought for sure we would lose every game because of it. With these settings and understanding the bonus structure, this map is ideal for a dbls tourney. I recommend making it an annual CC event were CC pitches in some prize pool.

Last game in round 1 is just about finished so I'll aim to get round 2 out this weekend coming... congrats to those teams who have progressed, and good luck in the next round
