Joe Biden said, multiple times, that Hunter is "the smartest person I know." If a guy who ...Dukasaur wrote:Yeah, yeah, he's a user and a loser.
Not one chance in a million that you would care about his existence if you weren't invested in embarrassing his father. News flash: good people have bad kids. Happens all the time. No reasonable person would hold it against him.
- - Had an affair with his brother's wife while his brother was dying of brain cancer,
- Once fathered a child out of wedlock, stilted the mother on child support, and then sued to prevent the child from even using his surname,
- Is credibly believed to have engaged in human trafficking and patronized child prostitutes,
- Once left a working handgun in a trash can next to an elementary school,
- Criminally (not civilly) cheated on his taxes,
- Ran a painfully obvious cash-for-favors scheme in which he laundered $1.5MM through a make-believe art business,
- Lived a life of coked-up luxury financed by his dad's campaign donors,
- Had his law license revoked after the Bar held an investigation and determined there was overwhelming evidence he lacked the most basic morals or character required to practice as an attorney
... is the smartest person Joe Biden ever met, is Joe Biden really "good"?
We know for a fact Biden has personally met at least four Nobel Prize recipients. But he still considers Hunter the smartest person. That provides insight into the standards Joe uses to determine smartness and suggests they're based on a person's ability to engage in deceit, duplicity, and personal gratification.
Biden is not "good."

I think most of here love our children and most understand that this is true of all parents (but to different degrees). I think I have mentioned that I have two children, and now, four grandchildren. I know that Biden loves his son, unconditionally. That is a main motivation why Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter, even after saying he would NOT.Dukasaur wrote:Philoprogeniture is a core mammalian attribute. HOWEVER, I think there is enough evidence that Hunter likely did much to help his father receive much money from foreign donors, that I view as CORRUPTION. The laptop was a Treasure Trove** of very incriminating details to strongly suggest that this corruption was real. Hunter may be charged with crimes not federal in the future, but the pardon almost assures that we will never know the extent or even the validity of Joe Biden's corruption. THAT TOO was, imo, a key reason to explain why Joe pardoned Hunter.
**The FBI had the laptop FOR SOME TWO YEARS to investigate Hunter; any criminal investigation of it was stonewalled (delayed and derailed) by "higher ups" in the Biden Administration. AND the EXISTENCE of this laptop was (basically) denied by our friend Jim Boston.
