I would like to know how you determined who plays who?
Can you list ALL the matches for Round 1.
Has Round 2 already been determined - or will that be based on Round 1 results?
Thanks.

I put everyone's name in a brown paper bag(works better than hat) and picked randomly. The first person being home vs the second person being away, so on and so forth.
I did list them on the first thread, but either did not submit or something. I have it written down at home in exact order, so as soon as I get home I will post it above the contestant list.
Round 2 has yet to be determined and is not based on your performance, only on whether you were home or not. I was most likely going to do the same thing as in Round 1. The only difference being having two bags. I will put everyone that was home in one and away in another. This will be done to ensure everybody gets a home game before the fun begins.
I do apologize there isn't a more secure way of choosing these first rounds. But trust me, I did not set up any of them. Honestly, I didn't even know everyone's rankings until the first round began. Kinda intimidating being the lowest ranked one here, lol.

I have no problem with your methods. I don't mind beating up on the tournament organizer (ask spidey or kendoh99).
I just like to know these things.
Thanks for this tourney, should be interesting ...
As for the bye thing, I like it - though I would never use it. I have my ways of choosing who I'd challenge [depending on map, # of "chips" to be won/lost, ratings points, etc.].

lol...thanks. I won't go down without a fight tho.
Yea, I'd imagine a lot of people passing on this. It's just a way of getting around the odd number of players. You know, not having loose ends, with people questioning the way things will work.
I tried to cover all the bases, but if something comes up definitely let me know.
Round 2 Quibble

I just realized a potential problem with Round 2
Seeing as how it's random - you could have the same two players face each other again. This is fine in Round 3 (where player A can choose to challenge player B) - but realistically, for "seeding," you should have to face at least 1 other player.

Good point. What I will do is if it's the same match-up, I will throw the name back in and re-pick until it is different.

NEWS UPDATE
There are 6 people as of now, with a possible 7th depending on the outcome of the last game, that will have 5pts each. I've been thinking long and hard about this and am 90% positive that I will decide the ranking the same way I decided the match-ups. If you think about it, you'd rather be on the lower end of the top people. That way if you get challenged by someone with 5pts, you will have home field advantage.
I know this isn't the best way to go about it, but I see no other way. I was also debating on figuring out who beat who to decide superiority. Basically if you defeated someone who had won their previous match-up, then you would be higher ranked than the person who defeated an opponent that lost their previous match-up.
Either way, there will still be ties that would need to be addressed. Let me know what you guys think. Once again, I do apologize since I am figuring this out as I go along. Possibly next tournament we will start with more points and have more preliminary rounds.
Tie Breakers

Here is the way I would break ties in the future:
Round 2 complete:
1. Head to Head (this only applies to people with 3 points)
2. Current Strength of Opponents (are they worth 2, 4, or 6 points)?
3. Current Opponents Strength of Opponents (I realize this could be a bit complicated - but this should be the only time you use it)
Ensuing Rounds:
1. Head to Head (case where someone loses and ends up tied with the new winner)
2. Number of Road Wins
3. Strength of Opponents (at the time you faced them) - this means that each person would have 2 numbers beside their names [points available, cumulative points risked]
You could flip flop Road Wins with Opponents Strength
