If you have AJAX BOB questions, lets move them over to the BOB thread in the General Discussions>Plugins board.
Iliad, more info would be appreciated - where is it lagging, when, is it old games, new games, etc.
WL, AJAX was sped up so it will be faster to use. Deleting old accounts wont speed up the server, they sit on the HD and do nothing, it's the data that's moving that's the problem, not data that's sitting.
Clapper, that might be a BOB thing....I'll let Yeti field that one

I had this same problem Coleman....one day it would just take almost 20 minutes to take a turn from my work computer and it was fine from home...but if i logged onto the computer next to me at work and not my regular one it was super fast....was like this for days..but now all is back to normal ....twas very odd to say the least....

Bah!
I don't know.....i'm getting lag both here and at work, and the map refreshes very slow and does not keep up with the dice.
Regardless Lack, your going to have to upgrade your hardware sooner or later, and if it's later then your going to piss off your customers.
The price of popularity I guess.

Avatars
Just a thought:
I'm not a programer by any means but what if you eliminated the animated Avatars and signatures on the forum posts? Would that make a diffrence at all on the server load? Or only offer animation to paying members?

I've just noticed, that on a few occasions I can't cash in my cards. When I have 5 cards and select which ones I want to use, the "cash" button doesn't work. I have to click the "My Games" page and go back into that game, and then it works.
Anybody else having this problem?

AJAX takes a long time to load sometimes. The map refreshes properly, but the buttons don't reappear for over a minute sometimes. makes speed games very stressful. Most of the time it's only 10 seconds or less, but those occasional times are really frustrating. Any idea why this happens or how to fix it?

It is nice and fast at work, but from home it is sluggish with a delay of about 3 seconds for army updates. I've stopped watching the map when attacking, because the form controls at the bottom give me the results so much faster.
It's funny, my machine and net connect are great for playing WoW, but not ConquerClub. Go figure that one.
