That was what we had in an earlier version. I think i should make it o markets have the units added and can bombard each other.

Lastly I think there should be more sea routes. Other than that, I'm stumped. You seem to have it all there already.

I agree, its a matter of not getting them in knots however.

I was hoping that if we manage to get faction missions, spains would be to eliminate the moors. but failing that, crucades should work.

and last but not least it should be 1way attack not bombard, in the crusades they kept all the places after conquer.

I agree but however i am thinking this would be a little unfair on the egyptian faction, having armies dumped one way into their homelands. Mabye a way to make them more powerfull so they can bounce back. How about having jerusalem gives you deployed armies? Then we can think about how fair one way attack/bombards would be.

Telvania's neat map
Image

101 territories
15 Kingdoms
16 Continents

The map uses features which are not currently installed on CC but i am hoping to push 'em through.

Each player starts with one kingdom of four territories (those outlined in a coloured boarder on the sketch or have a background flag in neat). They are then given a unique mission for each faction (for instance england's might be to conquer britain and france, and elimenate the kingdoms of france and denmark) The kingdom that eliminates all opponents or completes its mission first wins.-if this proves to be impossable we may make it without. (though i hope not)

Capitals will have units deployed on them each turn, i'm not yet sure about other territs.

Kingdoms

England
Wessex-capital
Normandy
Mercia
Northumbria

France
Ile de France-capital
Champagne
Anjou
Toulouse

Spain

double post lol

I agree with the Jerusalem bonus but not on Jerusalem because the Crusaders can take that one to easily, it should be thier Capital.

With the faction missions that just wouldn't fit if you did one for each one, but you can say First to eliminate the 2 nearest factions and get 12 places.

p.s. I like the way you spelled Sweden in your rough draft lol

Serbia is a neutral territory in that it will not be held by any player at the start.

scotland and wales were their own countries at that time as well but they are still going to be part of the brittish isles continent

If crucades are only able to bombard jerusalem, i think it would work. The additional deploymentwould make it harder for crucaders to bombard that territory and they would be unable to take and hold the bonus.

It may be that the mission for all factions may have to be hold a certain number of terrtitories but I was thinking that mission cards could be a button to the side of the map next to the small/large map button and when clicked could do the same trick you get when you click on a map thumbnail on the game finder.

And i am infamous for my spelling :P

oooh mission cards I like that idea... so there would be about 7or8 different mission per faction so it doesn't get boring!

If possible but i would be happy even with just one mission per faction (one based on the historical aims of that faction)

Okay, i've drawn up a list of changes to connect together.

Changes for next map
Capitals get +2 autodeploy
Markets get +1 autodeploy
Jerusalem gets +1 autodeploy
Jihad removed from armenia
Markets Bombard each other
Wooden crucade crosses bombard jerusalem

Is it possible to have the autodeploy to drop in after your turn? I've forgotten whether it drops before or not.

i Was also thinking of possibly having a bonus of 1 for holdig 3 territories within a continent.

I wish you get make the colours a bit more subtle. Currently there's just so much colour it throws me off a bit. It feels like the British Isles revamp did with those flags but on a stronger level.

Maybe try to make them blend in a bit more like Great Lakes?

edit:

autodeploy happens at the start of your turn before you deploy

Hmm, personally i disagree with you. i love Tel's flags and vivid colours, and I think it brings out the heraldry of that age, making each nation stand out. I feel that if we made it look like great lakes it would just look washed out (as does great lakes to a certain extent).

Thats just my view however, what do other people think?

*also the flags arn't only there for decoration unlike past maps, they outline the player controlled kingdoms.

I'm with edbeard, they need to be toned down. It just looks too busy right now.

i dont think you should worry about the BG now maybe first make the borders single which will give the BG a different look they might look better than they might look worst

I will try to knock something up by the weekend, though im not sure about single borders, i like my borders to be able to show the continent colours, this will be hard if i have a single border where to continents meet

make a black border and than a sort of inner border than just like they did in the new britisch isles and "the new world"
