I would like to see some sort of tribal area. Also could the colors have a greater distinction. I like the idea but I think there needs to be a better bonus structure

I would make a version with numbers on before you go too far with the graphics, the numbers on the flags may be hard to see/make the flags hard to see.
Otherwise that lightening up helps quite a bit, it could well be your moniter there.
Numbers are on the way.
There will be 8 starting positions. One for each European country and one for the africa tribes. The african tribes will begin with all 3 of the african homelands.

What do you mean by bonus structures? The only bonuses are autodeploys on each territory.

Or are the flags the landing points...?
Oops seems I missed half a page on comments
Yes the landing points are the flags. This will be noticable with army numbers on top
How will you be naming them? I also think that it should say somewhere that the flags are the landing points.
I am trying to keep the instructions streamlined so landing points will be named after the continents they are in. This will be noticable when playing the game so I don't think the flags will be named or any explaination will be needed.

That is exactly what I mean i think there needs to be more to it then just auto-deploys
I think if you cut back on the size a bit I think this would be a great map to replace the old research and conquer. The homelands could research stuff or conquer stuff.

Research and conquer is its own map in production.

nah there doesn't. It doesn't hurt to be different. Beside you will still get your standard +1 for every three territories.

Mind explaining how? You get autodeploys put on your territories so every turn your troops are spread. You have to strategically work with this rather than bulking all your bonus at the start of your turn. Bulked armies are more often decided by dice.

With no areas to try and hold to get more troops you need to attack more places but everyone will get the same chance, no strategy then one person will win a few lucky rolls and the game will be over

I don't believe that. The target for the europeans will be to take on the tribes. While the tribes take on the neutrals for the +1 bonuses. These will have to be balanced in play or you will just get mauled. Each european also has 2 landing points to choose from. Which reduced the chance of an even build that leads to dice dependant games.
I'd love to see another africa map out there. There are so many possibilities.
As for this map, I will take a closer look later but off hand I think the dark/black color scheme rather racist and offensive. I am also disapointed with the numbering. I would rather see less territories and more afrikaan naming. It's too clinical.

The purpose of using numbers was to allow for more territories and a much for epic gameplay. I don't really want to reduce the number of terrs just so I can include african names. Since my purpose is to make a map that plays well, not one that is historically or geographically accurate.
I know this isn't to everyones taste but my maps with numbers are generally well recieved.
I don't think this looks as good but everyone is is having trouble with darkness so I heavily saturated Africa, terr numbers and borders and also changed the texture on the main land. Does this look better for you guys?
