We are trying to get a good color tablet down, we have been experimenting, any set of colors you would like to see?
The old ones? There was nothing wrong with them in the first place was there?
Someone suggested we do a total graphical redo

Things keep getting added, taken away, and changed completely, and it's very difficult to get an idea of what you are trying to achieve.
Before posting another update, I suggest taking some time to think about what exactly you're trying to do. The multicoloured version from a couple of updates ago was far superior (in my opinion) than the yellow version. You keep flitting between boats and lighthouses and attack routes etc... If you keep changing the direction of the map with every update, you'll end up getting nowhere fast. Pick something and stick with it (provided that there is a sound logical reason for it).

Someone suggested once I should jump off a cliff.
I don't see why the previous version with saturated colours needed a redo since it looked pretty decent. Remeber if you can justify it then you don't have to take every suggestion.

Someone suggested once I should jump off a cliff. That's funny, someone suggested that same thing to me, it happens to be the same person that suggested the redo I don't see why the previous version with saturated colours needed a redo since it looked pretty decent. Look at them side by side, doesn't the saturated one make you dribble just a little bit? [bigimg]http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/pp31/LED_ZEPPELINER/LongIslandv115.jpg[/bigimg] [bigimg]http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/pp31/LED_ZEPPELINER/LongIslandv9.jpg[/bigimg]
I don't comment on maps much...but this one caught my eye and I was really looking forward to the development. But as was stated, you have lost direction. I thought you had something good with the old colours and with the lighthouses. It was a nice looking map with a neat gameplay option with the lighthouses. But as soon as someone questioned the lighthouses you took them out and put boats in. There are boats in so many maps that the lighthouses were a nice break away from more boats. Who cares how or why the lighthouses can attack each other...they just can. Malta has helipads to open up gameplay. King of the Hill has helipads as well...why would there be helipads with a bunch of coloured 3-D cones? Doesn't matter...it opened up gameplay.
What I am saying is the map was looking good with the old colours and lighthouses. You had a lot of momentum going with that. Then you let a couple of comments cause you to doubt yourself and take the project in a different direction that no one is warm to.

I am changing the colors back as close as I can get them. I like the boats. I think that they make the map less linear, and gives people less of an advantage. So without further ado... v12

Forever linked at the hip's-banana! (That sounds strange, don't quote me.)
O kwe are back on the right track but I still foresea alot of work to get this up to scratch. We still don't have back the old fonts on all the text and the colours in the legends. These fonts fit this theme while the current font fits the last theme.
I there is alot of rough patches on the map but I think I want to work one on one with you guys for this so expect a PM soon.

Um... ok
Spoken like someone who isn't a Long Islander. But I agree, it is nicer to see Brookhaven broken up into actual places...I will further go on to say that I have been following this, and have made comments in the past. The new boats are better than the original boats you had, I hated them. I did prefer the lighthouses to the boats, but having a couple extra regions for bonii is nice, so I can live with these boats (maybe name one of the North boats Alexa??). Not on LI any more, but spent 95% of my life there so I want this map to succeed!

I summer there, good to have local support, Thanks for the comment
keiths31 wrote:The Blue Boats are too blue and don't look good against the backdrop of the ocean
what exactly do you mean by too blue. Should I make them more Grey, or greener?
Perhaps outlining the sails in white.. you would have to do it the boats in the sound also...
Yeah...the blue on blue without much of a difference in colour makes them hard to look at as they get kind of lost in the ocean. A bolder border may make them stand out more...

I think i will just completely go with a seperate color, perhaps green or yellow. Whichever looks better. Thanks for the comments.
