Can we get some more non-speed featured games?

As near as I can tell, if you don't have the time to play speed games, one is excluded. I haven't seen a bunny and I have been all over the site. Next time just put up front, " if you can't live on your computer, don't bother. ".

There is a reason I have over 5000 games and haven't even made silver in speed.

HOPPING DOWN THE FINAL STRETCH

As the battle heats up on the scoreboard, watch out for those Featured Games and upcoming Hoppy Hours to snaffle your last required Eggs.

Also there will 1 special speed auto called EPIC EGGZ, with a huge egg payout.

For those looking for some last-minute eggs, there are some very good chances here.

There are still 4 maps that have not been answered correctly, and there are still 2 more maps to be posted!

Dukasaur wrote:Okay. New Event!

(Hint: answer me back with: "Yaaay, New Event!!!")

We haven't had anything for the loyal followers of our Facebook page yet, so here goes:

Br'er Dukasaur's Obscure Trivia Time

In preparation for the Easter celebration, it was obvious that most of the games would be on the Easter map. However, we also considered some other maps that have an Easter connection of one kind or another. There are 14 such maps. During the next 50 hours or so, I will at random times post graphics of these maps on Conquer Club's Facebook page.

How to Score
In order to win, you must be the first to post a reply to the map graphic ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE:
 • Name the map
 • Give a plausible reason why it was considered as an Easter map (What is its conceivable connection to Easter? The connection might be obvious or it might be obscure.)
 • Include your CC username (so we can give you a prize! Obviously no CC username, no idea who to give the prize to.)

Prizes:
Each of the 14 winners will score between 5 and 10 eggs of their choice. The maps with more obvious Easter connections will score in the low end of that range, while the maps with more obscure connections will score in the high end of that range.

Rule Clarifications:
Just to be very clear and avoid misunderstandings, I will clarify any possible ambiguity:
 1. You must answer on our Facebook page. There is nothing to be gained by answering in this thread, or by sending me PMs or Wall posts.
 2. There are 14 maps, so 14 chances to win. The 14 chances to win will be quasi-randomly distributed over the next 50 hours (the random background noise of my life is just as chaotic as atmospheric noise, so running things according to my R/L schedule is just as good as random.com)
 3. Only the FIRST correct answer for each map will win.
 4. You may win a maximum of 3 times. After that, you will win no more prizes (although you're free to continue answering just for fun, but please wait and let the others get some answers in first.)
 5. If you come up with a better answer than the one I thought of, I will still give you the point.
Ireland, difficulty Easy, won by King Zvonimir,
Map is Ireland, obviously.
Reason: The Easter Uprising in 1916.
CC name: King Zvonimir
wins 6 stars (base is 4 for easy + random adjustment of 2.)

Holy Roman Empire, difficulty Easy, won by Osman76,
Map: Holy Roman Empire. Reason: Roman emperor Constantine determined a fixed date for the celebration of Easter (First Council of Nicea, 325 AD). Username: osman76
wins 8 eggs. (base is 5 for Easy + random adjustment of 3.) PM sent Sunday @0109. I will also award another egg to King Zvonimir, because I have now realized that I shorted him one. (base for Easy is 5 not 4 as announced above.)

Ancient Isreal, difficulty Very Easy, won by plurple
map: tribal wars israel
reason: every year at easter and the proceding holy week many pilgrims from all over the world flock to jerusalem. on palm sunday they reenact jesus's entrance into jerusalem. on friday there is a procession along via dolorosa. on saturday they enmass celebrate the ceremony of the holy fire, where they wait in anticipation for the lighting of patriarch's candle from within the tomb.
CCname: plurple

p.s my source for this was: http://www.goisrael.com/.../Pages/Easter%20in%20Israel.aspx
wins 6 eggs (base for Very Easy is 4 plus random adjustment of 2)

Third Crusade, difficulty level Moderate, won by Dakky21
Reason: Frederick I Barbarossa took up the Cross at Mainz Cathedral on 27 March 1188 (easter!) and was the first to set out for the Holy Land in May 1189 with an army of about 100,000 men, including 20,000 knights. An army of 2,000 men from the Hungarian prince Géza, the younger brother of the king Béla III of Hungary also went with Barbarossa to the Holy Land.
Username: dakky21
wins 9 eggs (base 9 for Moderate + random adjustment of 3)

13 Colonies, diff level Obscure, won by bdb
Brian Berry 13 colonies
The puritans banned any celebration, including Easter. In January 1645, a group of ministers declared: "festival days, vulgarly called Holy Days, having no warrant in the Word of God, are not to be continued." This was an attempt to distance themselves from Roman Catholicism.
bdb
wins 10 eggs (Obscure base 7 + random 3)

Celtic Nations, diff level Easy, won by Osman76
Osman Osmanoglou Map: Celtic Nations. Reason: Celtic and Roman Church had a disagreement over the date of Easter. So it was that in 664 a.d. a conference was called at the Monastery of St Hilda at Whitby. King Osway along with Bishops Colman and Chad represented the Celts. Alchfred, son of Osway and Bishops Wilfred and Agelbert represented Rome. The actual issue was not the date of Easter but whether the Celtic church should link its fortunes with the growing organization of Rome or the loosely compacted Irish church. Source: http://www.christianitysite.com/Celticchristianity.htm Username: osman76
wins 7 eggs (base 5 + random 2)

Pot Mosbi, diff level Obscure, won by Dakky21
Map: Classic cities: Pot Mosbi
Reason: In Papua New Guinea the old beliefs have blended with Christian beliefs that had been introduced in the last century, which now form unique traditions for this part of the world.
Username: dakky21
wins 8 eggs (base 7 for Obscure + 1 random)

Trench Warfare, difficulty level Obscure, won by plurple
Map: Trench wrafare
Reason: the reason this has anything to do with easter is that in 1917 easter was on april the 8th and on the following day that year during world war 1 the battle of arras took place which had been postponed by 1 day due to it being easter sunday.
CC name: plurple
wins 10 eggs (base 7 for Obscure, plus random adjustment of 3)
You need 200 Bunny Points. To get any Bunny Points you need 40 of each Egg.

I can't imagine that you'll get very many people who will play as much as I have, and I'm not even halfway there. There's no way that tourney will fill up unless the rate that they're given out go up. And if that's the case, it's very unfair to the people that played earlier at the lower rates.

64 was an error, it has already been changed.

Okay, well even 32 sounds pretty ambitious. I played a ton over the last couple days and I'm maybe halfway there. Right now I'm in the lead for the event, and I don't think I'll even qualify for that tourney. 32 people would not only have to overtake me, they'd have to get double the eggs that I have now. Doesn't seem plausible.

Edit: unless drop rates go up real fast, which (again) would be incredibly unfair to the people like me who put in our hours during the low-rate periods.

Well BW, you and I both did better than I predicted. I put in way more time than I expected when I wrote this post. And your tourney got a lot closer to filling than I thought it would. Granted both of these were helped with the invention of "Hoppy Hours." And I'm guessing the drop rates might've increased a little at some point.

(And the tourney may just fill up depending on the winner of this Epic Eggz tourney with those high prize levels.)

All in all, it was a fun event. Not sure I'll ever try to do one of these again though ... that was a long weekend :)

MEGAEGG FINALE IS AWAY!

Congrats to all who made it, and good luck in the battle for the Red Star!

MEGAEGG FINALE

For those that missed, or just wanting something to do with your leftover eggs, the consolation tourney has been released:

Bunny Droppings

Remember, you can still get GAs and CAs by scoring 200 and 400 Bunny Points respectively. Also, the race for a Green Star for Point Leader is still on!

I'm extremely disappointed with the FINALS!

It shows that you have to play FIRST to win it - check it for yourself: all these players won because they started their games:
Great-Ollie
Hannibal 19
Jdsizzleslice
KraphtOne
timmy1
Roofless
TheQuietOne
georgizhukov
MudPuppy
hwhrhett
Royal Panda

The only person winning the first round by not starting first was gbd88, but he had eggs-house bonus!

I THINK IT WOULD ONLY BE FAIR TO CANCEL THE FIRST ROUND, MAKE A REDRAW AND PLAY FOG GAMES!

I don't advocate a 'redo' , but a solution would be to make it best of 5 or 7 (perhaps with fog as KZ suggests). If not for this challenge, it would be appropriate in any tournament with such stringent requirements. We all joined 100+ games to get to the finale and to have it all hinge on a single game on a highly luck-based map is a bit disheartening.

Personally, I wouldn't say that I won because I went first. My R1 dice were horrible (gained 1 tert). The opponent was dropped the higher bonus setup and had average to above dice. I won only because he inexplicably didn't take advantage of it and I held to my strategy.

Yeah, I was really surprised at the simplistic tourney format was too after such a long weekend trying to qualify for it. Sunny bunny games aren't really that interesting.
