Man, that was close--Haggis_McMutton and I were in it right 'till the last game. Congrats to schnitzella and whitetrash67. And I think our results just go to show that sometimes, winning games isn't the most important thing to do in this tourney. The two finalists from India group finished 4th and 6th in the group in wins, but they knew how to stick around games long enough to earn points!

I think the errors are now limited to Golf group which still need to finish

There was an error in our group's scoring, but I actually caught it. Trust me, I double-checked our scores a ton of times--you and I just missed out. :(

Doesn't this mean Chadwick31, Pogophiles, and I are already through since 2 of the 3 (most likely the other two - not me) will be through and I have a higher score than 3 of the other 4 finalists? ;)

I guess wildcard wasn`t quite so wild. I was hoping you`d take other things into account besides score(*cough* games won *cough*) :P

But oh well, gl everyone in the final.

The last time I did not use raw score it caused a big problem so I chose to just use the score...but there is always MB IV

I understand. Just IMO, i think it might be more interesting to base it on something else, cause score can vary a lot depending on the group, and also it`s kind of boring to go with score for wildcards when the winners are also decided by score.

Maybe after you gather participants for the next one you should conduct a poll or something, hopefully that would keep whining to a minimum :D.

I was thinking about adding # of wins to final score to get the wild card and meybe a few other things..A pole should work nicely

Funny, I'm not complaining about the way the finalists were chosen ... ;)

I don't think there's any way to choose wild cards that makes everyone happy. I know I would have "complained" if it wasn't me. But regardless, it's a great tourney, probably the one I've enjoyed the most so far on this site. Between this and MB III, I'm going to have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many games over the next couple of weeks.

Indeed expect MB III to start soon all the games are made but I am just waiting for all the MBII games to start

I would like to extend congrats to the final group. I must admit I was never a big fan of escalating games until Map Blaster came along. I now have a greater appreciation for the subtleties of the game. So Schnitzella and I will be a force to be reckoned with in MB III. Oh and special congrats to my new partner in moving to the finals. Go kick some butt. =D>

not having wildcards will keep whining to absolute zero. I think there should be no wildcards and recommend that for future tournaments. Too subjective.
