Well, the map has been rotated and zoomed in a little, so now everything has lost its clarity. So the basic geography is getting an overhaul and then a new border and territory label style will be tried. Gameplay will likely be changed yet again and perhaps territories lost. We'll be aiming for 36 territories with the potential of 42 again with space permitting.
All the feedback given so far will be taken into consideration with the revamp and hopefully we'll finally have an image everyone is happy with.

36 territories makes for a bad map for 1v1 games, since each player starts with exactly 12.

well you pretty much hate everything so our opinions cancel each other out!
seriously though, the majority of the time I find myself having the complete opposite opinion as you
anyway, look forward to seeing the overhaul

First player gets 4 armies, conquers a territory from the other player. Second player now has 11 territories, gets 3 armies, conquers a territory back. First player gets 4 armies again...

Yeah, but it looks arse due to the enlargement.
The map is of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. It's from the A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy series by George R. R. Martin.

I'm a big fan of the series.
As to this map It's quite hard to distinguish between Arryn and Tully for me.
House Barathorn is also a bit difficult.
I'd agree that Barathorn should be a 6 bonus instead of 7 as well.
You guys have put a lot of work into this keep it up!

We were in the middle of another major overhaul but the Photoshop file is corrupted. Not the first time this has happened to me and I have no desire to start from scratch at the moment.
We have no choice but to put the map on vacation for now.

Something I wanna suggest is to make each of the main seats of the great houses (Winterfell, Castelry Rock etc) can be made into enclaves that each provide a +1 bonus for holding them. Also couldn't the Iron Islands be their own continent? You could have them in a maginfied inset
Also if I recall correctly isn't Skagos part of the seven kingdoms?

This map sucks donkey balls and doesn't look at all like anything from the books.
(being as constructive as Spockers is in other people's threads)

Well that was unnecessary. He usually saves his comments for maps that are...well not up to certain standards. This map actually has potential and looks to be quite fun. I might even start reading the books at some point.

why bump maps that are on vacation without saying something worthable, (and even if spockers leaves not constructive feedbacks in other threads there isn't a reason to bump this)
I like, but...

For if/when you return from vacation...
(1) I'd like to see some value to the land beyond the wall (Frostfangs, Haunted Forest, etc.)
(2) I'd like the Iron Islands to have more value. Perhaps a sea route to Old Town, or some such.
(3) Seems like there should be some link to the Eastern continent, where Daenerys Targaryen is building her army.
Even if you don't like any of MY ideas, I really like yours... I'll be playing this, if/when it gets put up for play.

This looks really good... I think it;s a little hard to read at first, but you kind of get used to it. I like the textures you did.

I was wondering if I could pick this up and try to breathe some life back into it, if we can assume this is not coming back
I don't really know what I'm doing yet but I'd be willing to put in the time to this.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I'd love to work on this because I'm really passionate about the series, have read the books three times and think it would be a great map to play on, but I don't want to step on any toes here if protocol suggests we just wait it out until they return from "vacation".
