how do you decide who comes 2nd, 3rd etc...is it purely on order of eliminations, or somehow based on number of armies, or do you have some other cunning formula?

Order of elimination.

First Out: 0 points
Second Out: 0 points
Third Out: 1 point
Fourth Out: 1 points
Fifth Out: 2 points
Last Out: 3 points
Winner: 7 points

You can also get 1 extra point per game by getting a specific continent bonus. I expect that game winners will at least attempt to get this bonus on the way to eliminating the competition, probably in the penultimate round.

The 7 players with the highest point totals after 3 rounds will play the British Isles assassin game to determine the tournament winner.
As this is a points-based tournament, it is possible (albeit unlikely) that a player may advance to the final without winning a single game.

Four groups are still waiting for their games to start -- 8 players have been sent reminders. I'll start using reserves tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Unfortunately, several of you have earned bonus points, but failed to note the fact in the chat. I will consider giving you the earned bonus points if you PM me. Since the tournament is both points-based and re-seeded within agencies, a single point might be very important.

Last warning about the Bonuses. If you don't put it in the chat, I'm not counting it.

Just a few games left in round 1. Expect Round 2 games to go out within the week.

I've noticed that several players who earned BONUS points failed to note it in the chat. This tournament doesn't have a ton of points available, those single bonus points could be important.

Do yourself a favor -- re-read the rules regarding awarding of BONUS points, and check your games. If you owned Turkey, The Orient Express (J) or Venezia + 2 other citta's, you should get a BONUS. PM me if you're uncertain, thanks.
