it makes you look like an incredible tool but people say they are amazingly comfortable.
Do it. They aren't too expensive, are warm and have sleeves.
You know what else also has sleeves? A FUCKING SWEATER!! Since when are your only choices "TURN UP HEATER" or "GET BLANKET"?

You should get a Snuggie. I have one, and they are pretty comfortable. My only problem is that the sleeves are really long, so eating while wearing one is a bit of a challenge, I think I'm going to hem up the sleeves later. It is better than a blanket. I got it as a gift for Christmas, and have probably worn it everyday since then while lounging around the apartment. I keep the heater set very low in the apartment because electricity is expensive, so I needed something in addition to the sweaters I was wearing.

too damn funny... I wore one of those for a good part of the day today...
granted, mine was not bought, but made for me....
It was nicely done, but it is such an impossible thing to use, or wear comfortably...except, that with a belt, you can use it as a robe, and it becomes infinitely more usable...except that it is too long really.
I did enjoy my obi wan kenobi impression though.

I've got one and its pretty awesome. Its nice and warm and about as comfortable as a regular blanket.
My only complaint is that it is too long, so if I try to walk around wearing it I have to hold it up or kick my feet out so I don't trip over it.
If you're in college, get one that supports your favorite college team. Most colleges have a snuggie made just for their college, and its actually pretty entertaining to have one at a football game, so I'd suggest getting one of those.
Here are a few of the styles:

I got this thing called a blanket and it works great!
I've got this thing called a sweater, and it's pretty useful as well.

My sister got those for the family as gag gifts. I probably won't ever wear it, as I don't want to contribute to the image of Americans being lazy fucks. It just...it's going too far.

Haha. Touche. However, it gets cold by my standards when I'm randomly camping and stuff. Might help?

There's this invention called "jacket", invented at McGill University in 1226, you should try it out some time, it's great for keeping oneself warm. A "coat", invented at McGill 1054 BCE, could also work.

Nothing wrong with a sweater or a blanket, heck I am fond of a bathrobe in the mornings myself. But I mean come on? those things are just fine with you laze around on the couch but when you get up, they act like a hospital gown. I don't need a backasswards robe to show my butt to my girlfriend.
