Clan Lineage

Post by vexx »

Perhaps only of interest to me, but does a clan lineage chart exist? If so where?
If not, could one be produced?

It might be cool to see how each of the "modern"day clans came into being.

Though the OP better have their name in the title and have it translated in at least 14 different languages... ;)

I'm sure it looks like the Poison Rome map, it is pretty incestuous.

Nothing wrong with noting/knowing the history, however, very few real clan "births" were from existing clans. Mostly one or 2 players leaving to make something new.

KOE split into TUC (dead) and LOD (renamed to AOD)

LOD lost members who created LOW, IA, AOC, IB and a few others (KOW, CL etc.)

Sky Force broke up into FOS

EMPIRE dimissals created Devil's Brigade

ID lost a few to Project Firestorm

and so on and so on.....

I'm sure I missed a few......

Jesus christ, LOD is like the nursery for new clans. I guess because you have so many members, you have to go through mitosis every so often.

AOD is a well balanced clan. LOW and IA were created to be elite clans. AOD remains a strong competitive clan, but is not founded around the principles of being elite or elitist. We know we can beat anyone, but don't necessarily strive for perfection. Many of us have teammates outside of the clan, and that has led to some migration. I think AOD might have the most members whom have left and come back.

AOC was a player that got removed due to skill, and eventually built up with advice from myself. Grim and I have always been professional with each other. IB was founded when some of them recruited a member from AOD. They have done ok, but struggle with organization.

Now THAT'S funny.

A couple that weren't mentioned:

TOFU rather memorably arose around a core of ex-LoW people. And Kort is the bouillabaisse of CC clans: a tablespoon of IA, a pinch of THOTA, a dash of BSS, mix briskly, serves 8-12. :D

BSS originated from the Regulators and Untouchables.

We had none from BSS to be clear...

Sjnap and roel were ex THOTA
Me, Prism, Loes, Agonzos were from IA
Chip, JustB, Fox, TC56 and KP were all free agents

Not to start with, but Masli and Nimic, IIRC, were both BSS.

My understanding is that KORT was founded from IA. They might have picked up players later.

Ah, I stand corrected... I always did mix up BSS and Sky force.

Masli was Sky Force and NiMic was a Regulator...TOFU has sprinkles of the BSS in it though

This is actually quite interesting. I'm not quite as big a list-a-holic as Blitzaholic, but I don't mind a good chart
