Hockey Playoffs

Post by hockeycapn »

I know we have a lot of people from all over the world, but we in Montreal are all about hockey. Right now I'm watching the Canadians play in overtime, and I'm pumped. I know we have a lot of Canadians here and other people from around the united States, so I want to know what everyone thinks about the playoffs. Overtime kicks so much ass. I still remember when Colorado won in the third overtime of game 7. Awesome.

Please don't just say "so-and-so sucks" Let's try to be a little more intelligent than that.

Hm, well I'm not too informed about Hockey. Iowa recently got an AHL team, and they are doing rather well...making a run for the Calder Cup...

Well I didn't jump up but it took me a minute to realize that my arms were still in the air. It wasn't the nicest goal I've ever seen, but I know I've seen worse. Montral looks to be headed to the Second round! Who-hoo! Oh. I wish I had tickets.

I have to say I'm hating hockey right now...LOL.

From the home of the Hurricanes (unfortunately not the drink!) where we're hoping for a miracle comeback, but it looks like we have a better chance of having a Carolinian win American Idol than the Stanley Cup.

There are a bunch of habs playoff tickets on sale on eBay but they're quite expensive. I might go watch tomorrow's game at the cage aux sports at the molson centre - probably the most exciting place to watch the game if you don't have tickets.

the oilers beat detroit last night..... yay....... go oilers......... actually I haven't really been a hockey fan these last few years, my interest in the game has significantly declined after the whole lock-out...... but if I have to pick a team to cheer for it's got to be a canadian team(because I'm from Canada0, and it's going to be the oilers just because..........

Yeah, Wicked, you're due...I'm just worried about Saku's eye. I don't care if the Habs lose the rest of the games if Saku's eye is all right. Losing an eye sucks, especially since he's only about 30. It did not look good. I started to cry a little bit when it happened.

Justin Williams (Canes) got his stick up under Saku's visor as he was driving in toward the net, and Saku went down. He skated off looking a bit like Johnny Depp in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. The early news reports suggest that it's not as dire as it looked, so we'll wait and see.

yeah I can't believe that the habs might lose Saku. It looked like an accident though, so I can't fault the Canes for it, shit happens. I just wish it wasn't Saku.

I was hoping for a series sweep, but I guess it'll have to go on a little longer. I just wanted the Habs to win the series at home.

I heard scalpers are selling tickets for like $225 each, and people were paying. I couldn't believe it.

the way hockey playoffs go the higher ranked team gets the 1,2, 5 and 7, the lower ranked team gets 3,4,and 6. So to answer your question no, it will be in Carolina. Which should bode well for the Canadians.
