AdamLand (working title) [new pic]

Post by adam3b58 »

this map is loosely based off the nickelodeon series Avatar. not enough so to cause any copyright issues. i made it with my cousin and i was wondering if it would garner enough interest to attempt to submit it to CC. im new to CC (1 game completed, 2 in progress) so im hoping i can get some feedback on this.

the territory names aren't important, so dont worry if u cant read em. the bonuses that i had created are as follows:

yellow NW - 3
gray - SW - 4
violet N - 3 or 4
red center - 6
green center - 6
light blue center - 7
dark blue NE - 2
brown SE - 3

there are no special circumstances (capitols, one-way attacks) just a normal map. i enjoyed playing it myself, but idk if its different enough to interest anyone else. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thank you

(edit) i should have included this before: there are 48 territories

interesting, could be worth a shot. Try remaking it on photoshop or gimp, add some eye candy and it'll definately be a very nice map. I like the alrge amount of small continents

Never heard about this Avatar thing... Although the map has no new features, it looks interesting because most continents are really easy to hold, mainly the larger ones... but of course submit as it is now is not an option, it needs the foundry approval.

How many times had you played it? Maybe you can tell us about a different playability.

Yeah I think it looks like a decent map because it has a large number of larger continents with relatively few border coutnries. That leads to slightly new gameplay I imagine. It's certainly worth working on, but you will have to post a real computer image before we can really analyze it much further.

This looks a lot like Tamriel to me, and I really don't like that map. But beyond my personal preferences I'm sure there are people would enjoy this if you have the artistic skill to make it look fancy like the other maps we currently have.

Looks fun. Definitely playable. I've actually played a map similar to this. Gj Adam.

I think you should make the brown islands smaller in size so that they actually look like islands and maybe add one or two countries to the green or red as to make kind of a central fighting area, and mabe you should put an extra bonus of some sort, like maybe you could make an embassy for each region in another and an hq in its region from where it could be attacked.
for example you could make a small territory inside the blue region called red embassy and in the red there would be aterritory called red hq and you would be able to attack the embassy form there, this way you could have three mayor territorys that are far apart but can still attack each other but only one way, so maybe red can attack blue and blue can attack grey which in turn can attack red, and maybe if you had all three (or more you would get a bonus)
