Another new format I would like to try.
In this tournament, the games will focus on the loser instead of the winner. We start out with 16 players broken up randomly into 2 groups of 8 (using http://www.random.org. First player who goes out.. instead of being eliminated, he/she will pick the map and settings for the next game which will start off right away. Everything else that happens in the previous game will be irrelevant to the tournament. This will continue on with each game.. if a player who has gone out previously goes out again, then he/she is then eliminated and that game will continue until someone goes out who hasn't in a previous game. For example.. Player A goes out in game 3.. he picks the map and settings for game 4. he goes out in game 5, he is eliminated and the game will be down to 7 players. When each group is down to 4 players, they will combine. The format continues until there is 1 player left standing!
HOW IT WORKS:
- [spoiler=format]Pretty much straight forward from the introduction and I expect it to be quick and easy. When the first player goes out of a game (who has gone out for the first time I will make an announcement in game that game will continue at the next stage with that player's choice of map and settings. I will then pm that player asking for his/her choice. Player can chose any map as long as the map fits the amount of players left (like AoR cannot hold if there are 8 players left). The player can pick any settings except for Round Length as that obviously will be casual. The player can even pick a team game and choosing who gets to be on who's team as long as the amount of players are right (8 players cannot play triples, but can play doubles or quads.. 7 players cannot play a team game, etc.). The next stage will start right after I get a pm from the player. I will also code that player on this thread in red meaning that player has gone out first in a stage once.
When a player goes out a second time, I will announce that player eliminated in game chat and game will continue until someone goes out who hasn't recently in a stage (or when there are 4 players left in which the stage will end if there is still a group that will combine.. final stage will continue at that point). That player will be crossed out on the thread here meaning they are eliminated from the tournament.
When each group goes down to 4 players I will announce that stage has ended and will continue in next stage with combined groups. The settings will be the standard setting I set up (go to Standard Settings). Also note that if a player is eliminated from an assassin game and it's their second time out, the next stage will start back with the remaining players with the standard settings I set up.
GROUP A:
8 random players.
Combines into FINAL GROUP when 4 players are eliminated
GROUP B:
8 random players.
Combines into FINAL GROUP when 4 players are eliminated
FINAL GROUP:
8 players (4 remaining from each group)
Continues until there is 1 remaining player who wins the tournament![/spoiler]
SETTINGS OF STANDARD MAP:
- [spoiler=settings]These settings will be used at the start of the tournament with the 2 groups, and then again when the groups combines. If for some reason I cannot get a response from a player through pm on their choice of settings or they don't care, I will use the standard. If they leave out a particular setting, I will based what to use from the standard (ex.. player didn't give me choice of spoils, i will set it to Flate Rate)

When the tournament starts I will send out invites. Please join within 24 hours of these invites. If you fail to join, I will resend the invite a 2nd time which gives you another 24 to join. If you fail the 2nd time then you are out of the tournament and will be replaced. As I do plan to run more tournaments, you will also be placed on my NO GOOD LIST which means that you will not be able to join any more of my tournaments unless you PM me with a good explanation.[/spoiler]
