Snapshot sharing in Team games
Hiya,
I'm not sure who this should be addressed to.
I was just wondering if there is an option to share "snapshots" from the BOB menu to my team-mates. As we live in different time zones, sometimes I am able to take a snapshot before the "enemy" plays their move; sometimes I cannot, and my team-mates do. In a fog of war game, snapshots can become essential when we are working on a possible elimination.
Is there anyway to share these snapshots so we don't waste a ton of time in the game chat trying to figure the locations of "enemy" troops?
Thanks kindly,
Marino

No, there is no easy way to do so because snapshot are stored on the client side (your computer). And it is hard to get it and send to your teammates.
So you better post most important terrs for your teammates and share it in chat basis.

Yeah, it's not a small piece of information, regrettably. Can't use the idea behind 'share team spoils', since it wouldn't work for map with over 50 territories (and even then, it depends on the amount of troops).

Hmm, on second thought: I might be able to shorten it somewhat, worth a try.

I think the easiest way is to take a screen shot, paste it into MS Paint, then email the screen shot, or post it to a free image hosting site and PM the link, or post the link in the Game Chat.

Thanks Everyone.
We use Google docs... But, sometimes it can get a little confusing.
Still, I appreciate the responses.

Re: snapshots
Not that I know of. As far as I know, there isn't even a good way yet of sharing snapshots with yourself from one machine to another (like home and work, or desktop and netbook). I know some people take screenshots and share them through a file sharing service like fileden, photobucket, or Google Docs, but that takes some coordination.
Re: snapshots
ok well a little thought would it be hard 2 add snap shot to the share spoils program. might work but i don't no anything about programing
Re: snapshots
From what I know of how the snapshots are stored, you would not be able to share them through the game chat the way spoils are shared.
Re: snapshots
I hope to have some time for this tomorrow (the idea is working, I have to polish it a little), and it will be a part of BOB. It will flood the chat a bit, and it won't work for huge maps though.
