[COMPLETE] Live Chat Trivia
[spoiler=Live Chat Trivia]Over the next week we will be holding SIX Trivia contests in Live Chat, for you all to test your knowledge of both General Knowledge and CC Knowledge. The contests will be held in a newly made Live Chat Tab that will be named "Trivia Contest" (or something along those lines).
We have a schedule of days and times of when the members of the Entertainment and Chatter Teams will be holding 30 question trivia contests in the Trivia Chat Room. Firstly, if you don't know how to locate Live Chat it is in the menu to your left under "Interaction Menu".
Prizes
Each winner of a Live Chat Trivia session will receive 3 Months of Premium Membership and a General Achievement Medal thanks to the Chatters and the Entertainment Team.
**Prizes will be awarded once all trivia contests have completed.
Social stays in Social, Callouts stay in Callouts and Trivia Contests is only for Trivia Contests.
If you are intentionally disrupting the trivia and causing trouble there will be someone there to take any appropriate action to ensure that the contests remain fun for everyone involved.
The organisers/hosts will be posting with colour, bold, italics & underline (or a combination of the preceding) so that questions and instructions are easily visible.
Users must not post answers or chat in coloured, bolded, italicised or underlined text so as to avoid confusion between questions and instructions from the host. Users who do post like this may have their answers ignored.
Discussion should be kept to a minimum so that the host can move at a consistent pace.
Once you have won a trivia contest, you cannot win another.
Once you have said your answer to a question that is it, 1 answer per person per question. (The Host may decide to allow a second answer).
Your answers will be ignored if you are posting like 10 different answers at once.

[COMPLETE] Share The Warmth Epidemic
[spoiler=Share the Warmth Epidemic]Similar to the "Spread the Lack epidemic" of 2008 and the "Spread the Love epidemic" of 2009, this year we are sharing the warmth with you all!
We are encouraging Freemiums and Premiums to partner up in a lottery of sorts to "share the warmth" around the Conquer Club Community.
The epidemic will be running from the 16th - 30th of August.
Each premium will sign-up with a freemium partner in this thread.
Each member of each pair has to wear the pre-prepared avatar and the contest signature (This is how we Spread/Share the Warmth)
Sign-ups are in this thread, and after the first week on the 23rd of August we will draw out 2 pairs and they will receive some special prizes.
The premium member will receive a general achievement for sharing the warmth and the freemium members will be awarded with 3 months of premium (it's all about feeling the warmth and love )
We will continue to take sign-ups during the second week and we will draw out 2 more names on the 30th of August.

In our version of a Scavenger Hunt, which will take place in Live Chat, you'll be given a clue every 10 minutes. There are 6 clues. Using those clues, you must find the hidden image somewhere on this website. Here, I'll give you an example.
Clue 1: Space ...10 minutes later Clue 2: 2060 ...10 minutes later Clue 3: Helium ...10 minutes later Clue 4: Rocket Ships!!! ...10 minutes later Clue 5: 8 World Powers ...10 minutes later Clue 6: natty Answer: Lunar War Where to find it: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=100634
So now that you know the answer is Lunar War, you have to find it! Once you've found the thread, the image you are looking for will be on the first page. In order to win, you MUST PRIVATE MESSAGE the member of the Entertainment Team that is holding your specific hunt the THREAD and the POST NUMBER that the image is hiding in. Any other form of communication will be ignored. Example,
The first person to get it through wins. There will be 20 hunts on 4 different time zones. Each winner will get a General Achievement Medal, keep in mind that you can only win once. Also be on the lookout for curveballs that might be thrown at you, for example the treasure might not be hidden in a thread, but somewhere else.[/spoiler]

If I read it right, and it is like the previous contests, the prizes only go to the 2 pairs drawn after each week.
Pardon me... but unless I am grievously wrong and a definition has changed somewhere... UTC is GMT is "Zulu". The times noted as GMT in the first post are in fact BST/British Summer Time.

Actually, UTC never changes. It is the international standard time used by the atomic standards around the world. BST is used in Britain during the summer, and differs from UTC. GMT may still be the name used in Britain for the time during the rest of the year, but basically it is an old term for essentially UTC (give or take a few leap seconds over the years), so we can roughly say that GMT is always UTC, and BST is never UTC.
And 23:00 UTC is always 18:00 EST (Eastern Standard Time) or 19:00 EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). It is just a matter of when, if ever, you use EDT.

Ender got it right, 4 pairs will get the prize. 2 are draw from a hat on August 23rd and other two on August 30.

Ender has it right - the places where GMT is used have now been changed to BST to avoid confusion. Britain is one of those difficuly countries that is only in 1 timezone, yet has 3 codes to describe in based on 2 seasons! It's all just designed to keep us on our toes I'm sure
I'd play anything just to pull down the curtains on this wet and cold Winter we are having in Melbourne, Australia. regardless of what time the event is run.
