As we've done in years past, Conquer Club will be once again having 24 Hours of Speed-Freestyle Battle Royale Madness to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. A proper message from Lackattack, myself, and Team CC discussing 2010 and our 5 year milestone will come soon, but we thought we'd give you an early heads up on our Speed-Freestyle Battle Royale Madness festivity. So without further ado---the pertinent information you are all waiting for!
As in years past, this topic will be where you can find information on Game Numbers, passwords (or clues to passwords, or instructions like 'go to Live Chat!'), and other Battle Royale related know-how, in the form of posts by Team CC Volunteers.
Moreover, like last year, you can also get information about when Battle Royale Games are created by following us on Twitter, and following us on Facebook if you want to use those routes instead of the forum!
Please be considerate about joining the games and be advised of the following:
Premium and Freemium players alike can join these battle royale games during the designated event times. Freemiums don't even need a free spot available to participate.
Foe lists are ignored for these battle royale games.
Please try to refrain from joining more than one game at a time. We want to give everyone a chance to participate that wishes to!
Excited? So are we! The majority of the games will be large Terminator style, but we will also make a fair number of Standard where a lot of winner take-all points will be at stake! All games during the 24 Hours of Madness will be Speed-Freestyle, so we can get as many games up and done as possible during the Event, but Spoils, Fog, and Reinforcements may be mixed up and alternated! We at Team CC hope you all enjoy our festivities!
Stay tuned for additional messages and announcements in the next day or two.
Yay! Battle Royales are always great fun and I've been looking forward to this all year.
Please tell me that something has been done about the code that adds 2.5 minutes to the game after every kill. I understand why this is in effect and I totally agree with it 364 days of the year, but I would hope that you guys have learned from past years that this has to get taken care of so that we don't have to wait around for half an hour, or even up to an hour and a half, for turns to finish. I would think that setting a maximum of 5, or even 10, minutes would work quite well and prevent the collosal waste of time and enjoyment that happens once the killing sprees start in speed Battle Royale games.
If this hasn't already been fixed, PLEASE make sure that it's fixed by the time the games start. It's really the only thing that can make Battle Royales not at all fun.
Should be fun to watch. I've never played since they look like they'd be terrifying to be in. I'd probably end up in the emergency room after playing one, but GL to everyone brave enough to try

Lack has coded it so that Battle Royales function without the extra time added after each kill. I don't think there is an easy (or quick) way to code a 'cap time' in like you suggested. So we'll see how everything goes!
