Welcome to the first ever Master Your Map mega tournament! This is not a sign-up thread.

Pick a map and see if you can master it. Once mastered, can you defend it from a group of challengers? This mega tournament will consist of eight 16-player satellite tournaments, each of which will use a different map. Winners of these eight tournaments will be granted automatic bids into the final Master Your Map: Challenge the Masters tournament with both first and second round byes.
Satellite tournaments will be 16-player tournaments. Participants will be randomly placed into 4-player groups. The tournament will consist of 5 stages. Stages 1 through 4 will correspond to different settings groups. Each player group will play 5 games in each stage with the winner of each game receiving a single point. At the end of Stage 4, the points leader in each group will advance to Stage 5. The four players remaining in Stage 5 will then play two games on each setting group to determine the tournament winner.

Stages will be setup as follows.

Final Tournament

Master Your Map: Challenge the Masters (Coming Soonish!)
The final tournament will be a 40-player tournament. Of the 40 slots available 32 will be open for anyone to join. Each slot will be assigned to a map with each map receiving 4 slots. The 8 satellite tournament winners will receive byes into the 3rd round where they will face the challenger from their section of the bracket. The bracket will be a single-elimination bracket, and the first three rounds will consist of a single game on the appropriate map. Once past the Meet the Masters round, each subsequent round will add more maps. Thus, each round will increase in the number of games played as players progress through the tournament. The final match will consist of 8 games, one on each map.

CC's default settings will be used in all games except where a Master plays on their map (see Special Rules)
1. Master Rule: After winning a satellite tournament, the Master may select their preferred settings group. This settings group will be used in the Master Your Map: Challenge the Masters tournament whenever that Master plays their map.

• Players may join multiple satellite tournaments. If they win more than one, however, they will have to choose the one they wish to represent in the final tournament. The runner(s)-up in the other tournament(s) will receive the automatic bid(s) for the final tournament.
 • Ties in all tournaments will be broken by an additional game or set of games.
 • I reserve the right to change any part of this mega tournament at any time.

I only picked 8 maps for this run. I don't have the time (or interest, really) for running a franchise that spans every CC map. :) So, I'm sorry if I missed yours.
