I'm interested in creating a tournament!
What are some things I should think about? Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? I've never organized a tournament before so I guess I'm just asking for general advice!

Just curious, in my mind, the logical place for the Tournament Handbook is at the top of the Create/Join a Tournament subforum because that's where people would go to create a tournament. There is also a link to the handbook in the FAQs. However, there are a lot of people who say they had not read the handbook when they ask questions about creating a tournament. Is this a situation of people not properly reading forum announcements, or does the handbook need to be placed in a different area? This isn't calling you out Gillipig as it's a frequent occurrence from a number of members and I'm looking for opinion/feedback.

everytime i want to know something about running a tournament i go to the General Info, Q&A, Discussion sub-forum and i can never find the Tournament Handbook.
it is logical to me that information about tournaments would be in the sub-forum people visit to have their questions answered.

I think normally when you want advice and you see Q&A you go there
The guide was very useful by the way, I've created my first tournament now! Let's just hope there's people interested in joining!

I think it would probably be useful to have the Tournament Handbook in all tournament forums (except Archives I guess), if that's technically not a problem.
