Do you like 1v1 games? Are you familiar with NFL style football? Are you Premium? Then this tournament might be for you.

Each quarter, two teams (of 3 players each) face each other in a series of 1v1 games to gain yardage and put some points on the board, while the defense tries to stop them. On offense, the quicker you win a 1v1 match, the more yards you gain on that "play". On defense, the quicker you win, the further you push the offense back. There are also 2 triples matches each quarter for Special Teams games, which will net you extra points and field goals.



After 4 quarters (about 32 games per player), the team with the most points win's that week's game. After 10 weeks, the top 4 teams in each conference (N. America & Europe) move on to post-season playoffs for a shot at the World Championship.

All games are sequential and chained
Most are automatic placements
Good mix of spoils & FOW settings

If so, read the rules below carefully, select an available team and post your roster (QB, WR, RB) in this thread. You must have your roster formed before claiming a team from the list.

If you're interested, but don't have a team, post FREE AGENT on this thread to declare yourself available to join a team. I'll reserve a handful of the teams for the free agent pool.

The gist of the game is very simple - just like NFL style football. The quicker you win each 1v1 game, the better your team performs.

If you have questions after reading the rules below, post it here and I will try to address it promptly.

GAMEPLAY

• Each match is divided into four quarters (two on each team's "home" map; flat rate spoils in the 1st & 3rd, escalating spoils in the 2nd & 4th). During a quarter, each team gets an offensive drive - 3 games per player (1 against each member of the defense), plus a Special Teams game (see below).
• The round in which either the offense or defense wins a 1v1 game determines the amount of yards gained or lost on that play
  
• Example - 1 quarter of play
  
• Each drive starts on the 20 yard line. If the offense manages to gain 80 or more net yards during a drive, the result is a TD (6 points)
  
  • If, during a drive, the offense wins a play in 4 rounds or less, the result is a personal TD (6), regardless of total yardage on the drive
  • If, during a drive, the defense wins a play in 4 rounds or less, the result is a personal Turnover (loss of possession - no points scored), regardless of total yardage on the drive
  • However, if a personal TD & personal Turnover occur on the same offensive drive, they offset and cancel each other out. Two TDs and one Turnover during the same drive results in a TD. Two Turnovers and one TD on the same drive result in a Turnover. Two TDs and Two Turnovers on the same drive cancel each other, Etc etc etc.
• After all four quarters have been played, the team with the most points wins the match.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Each quarter 2 trips (no spoils) games are played - one for each offensive drive.

• If the offense scored a TD on that drive and wins the Trips game, the result is an Extra Point (1)
  
• If the offense scored a TD on that drive and wins the Trips game without losing a player, the result is a Two Point Conversion (2)
• If the offense DID NOT score a TD, but DID gain 40-54 yards and wins the Trips game without losing a player, the result is a FG (3)
• If the offense gained 55 yards or more without scoring, the result is a FG (3)
• If the offense gained less than 40 yards or loses the Trips game, the result is a Missed Kick and no points are awarded

OTHER WAYS TO SCORE

If, by the end of a drive, the total yardage of the offense is *negative* 20 yards or more, the result is a Safety and the defense is awarded 2 points. (Unless a personal TD was scored)

[spoiler=Trick Plays]

• One per match, per request by QB. Request must be made before all games during the current drive have finished.
• 3 additional games (1 for QB, 1 for WR, 1 for RB) are created with Random map, Fog of War, Nuclear Spoils & Manual placement.
  
  • If all 3 games are won by offense, result is automatic TD
  • If less than 3 games are won by offense, result is Turnover
  • If all 3 games are won by defense, result is a TD for the defense
• Result of trick play supersedes result of the drive

OFFICIATING
[spoiler=Delay of Game Penalty]

• Before each quarter, I will send out emails notifying players of upcoming games. I will then send invites for each game. Once the games expire, they will not be recreated. I will not send out multiple invites for the same game.
• If you miss a game, you basically forfeit that game in the 7th round (+20 yards per game or -10 yards per game depending on which side misses the game). Triples & Trick Play games will also be forfeited if not joined by expiration.
• If you are planning on being away for longer than the 15 day window, please notify me in advance and I will try to accommodate your absence.
• Players who continue to miss games will be replaced with a player from The Bench

• In the event of a tie game after regulation, each team will be allowed 1 more offensive drive. No trick plays are allowed in overtime.
• If the game remains tied after the OT drives, a single Triples game will be played to decide the winning team

RESERVES
[spoiler=The Bench]

• In order to keep plenty of reserves handy, there will be 2 1v1 "training drills" each week where reserves play each other to improve their record (1 game each on Europe & N America maps)
• When a team needs to call on a reserve, the player with the best bench record is called up.

PLAYOFFS

• The top 4 teams in each conference will face off in the playoffs to determine World Champion
• During the playoffs, 1 quarter each will be played on each team's "home" map and 2 quarters will be played on the conference map (North America or Europa)
• During the Championship game, 1 quarter will be played on North America, 1 quarter will be played on Europa, and 2 quarters on Classic

Tiebreaker

In the event of a two or more teams being tied heading into the playoffs, the tiebreaker will be decided by most points scored, then by least points allowed and finally by fewest DOGs

The Lost Football League will consist of two conferences - North America & Europe. Teams will play each team in their conference once and then one international match against the other conference (10 total matches). The top 4 teams from each conference will go on to the playoffs at the end of the season.
