Meh... I'm not convinced. Where's the attraction in conquering coloured squares? Seems kinda bland and generic.
However, your graphics aren't too shabby. Nice and clean, no blurryness or pixelation. You just need a better idea for a map. May I point you towards this thread: viewtopic.php?f=583&t=126964

Hey, thanks for the feedback. To be honest, I went for the simple approach. People like games that are easy to understand. This does have it's complications though. There are always multiple squares that can attack one square making the game hard to win. It will bring out the better strategists.

Re: Squared
What I'm saying is, the map offers very little for an immersive conquering experience. When you're playing a map like Alexander's Empire, you get to imagine being a general or king in ancient europe, leading your troops to conquer all of the land... with this map, you're what, a square? Not very exciting.
That's why a theme is important for a map. We have some more abstract maps, but even those have some kind of theme...
Check out the gameplay workshop and see the kind of maps we have under development. Each of those maps has a theme.

thats even better using axis and allies style where you start off with various different types of pieces and a specific piece of land
