I don't know about you, but it'd be nice to know that the people performing drug tests are clean.

But then we would have to also do drug tests on the people doing the drug tests on the drug testers.

Yeah, I guess they have to have a drug test before they're allowed to become drug testers. It's part of the procedure.
It'd be weird to be drug tested by a guy on dope. He'd probably see you tested positive and let you go clean or something dumb like that.

Then the only stable positions in the system are for either everyone to be sober or for everyone to be high. :-k

what are drug tests performed for anyways?
Only things I can think of are top-level sportsmen and people who participate in medicine-testing.

So why would anyone want to know if the drug tested people use drugs, as long as they don't do sports or test medicines themselves?

Why have we placed so much of our self worth in sports teams that we care more about the use of drug among players than we do about the viability of our climate and ecosystem.?

Well, for one, some people don't work in offices. There are jobs that require people to go to people's houses and do work at the site, such as roofer or gardener. Companies hiring these people need to have them drug tested because they can get in big lawsuits if they don't screen their employees and one of their employees goes and hurts a customer or something else. Drug testing is part of that necessary screening.

What has that to do with sports and the use of drugs?

not much with sports and drug use but KP asked what drug tests are generally for, and I was giving an example in which a drug test is legally necessary.

Oh, I thought he was saying sports was an area of interest for drug testing.
