So the other day my girlfriend and I walked a fair distance home after we decided we didn't want to catch the tram. It was a three hour walk that included a quick stop to get some food as we passed through the city. We wanted to know how far exactly we had walked, so I typed in the addresses in google maps to be able to work out the distance.
"This route has tolls This route includes a ferry This route crosses through Japan"
Obviously I deleted my home address - I am not at all paranoid
sorry radiojake, but i do believe you mistyped an address somewhere ... lol (unless you invented a new way to walk across water AND shrink time besides... ).

I didn't miss type the address, I guess I just didn't think I had to specify between East Brunswick in Melbourne, Australia and East Brunswick in New Jersey, USA, considering it already knew my starting point was in Port Melbourne.
#1. I think you can avoid the tolls if you try hard enough.
#2. I also misread the topic title and thought it said 'This route has trolls.' And then when I saw the little google image, I really hoped they added some barely used humorous code about trolls.

Speaking of Japan - why is there what looks like a googlemap warning about going into Japan?
Not a warning about Japan specifically -- just a notification that the route generated takes you onto the territory of another country (besides the one you're leaving and the one you're traveling to) during the route.

OP censored his personal information manually so that we don't know where he lives.
