the 2 GA medals have been approved should i get at least 32 players. it will be a "hole in one" award, which may or may not be won, and there will be a "longest drive" award. which will be awarded to someone. more information in the scoring spoiler tab.
this tournament will use a similar aspect of golf scoring, if successful, i may incorporate it into some team play as well.
[spoiler=requirements]freemuims and preemiums are welcome. but to limit the amount of dropouts and personal problems between players i'm going to make a few restrictions; rating of 4.5 or higher,

there will be 8 groups of 4 players each. this will be decided by your conquer club score. at the time i notice your post, i will record your score at that certain time and post it on this board. the following ranks of 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, and so on will form the groups. when all groups finish their first hole, then the score board will determine your group for each hole after. meaning if you are in first place after the first hole. you will play with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place holders. any ties during this process will be settled by your CC score. the highest score getting the bump. i'm hoping that by doing the groups this way, it will keep things interesting.
the scoring will go as follows;

this means on a par 3, you will get a hole in one.
special scoring rules;
as stated above it is possible to get a "hole in one", well i'm applying for a general achievment award for whoever gets the first hole in one. also on par 5's. i'm applying for a "longest drive" award. this will be a gauranteed medal. it will go to whoever kills the most regions on any one turn during any par 5 hole. with the longest drive award, assuming there is a tie, we'll use the final scoreboard for the tiebreaker on this.if there is a tie on the scoreboard then we'll use the most games won. still a tie, then we'll use least games finished last place. after that i'll just use random.org to decide.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=specifics]1.player with lowest score at the end of 18 holes wins.
2.tiebreaker will start back at hole 1 and will be sudden death.
3.in the case of multiple players in a tiebreak situation, i will try and balance them out the best possible way, but may require more than a 4 player standard game.
4.if a player drops out in the middle of a game, the game counts as a loss, and i will try to contact him/her. if unsuccessful, the first reserve will take his/her place for the next game.
5.please try as best as possible to settle disputes between yourselves, if i am forced to settle them, then you both may not like the outcome. i'm a fair person, but i just don't want to get in the middle of your little online squabble. this is meant to be fun.
6.tiebreaker holes do not count towards the pending GA medals.
7.your place in the scoring order is determined by what order you were taken out of the game.[/spoiler]
