Problem with my iPod! I need help!!!

Post by Lui-Slamo »

Well, I have a big problem with my iPod right now.

Let me start off with what kind of iPod I have. It's a really old iPod. A 2007 iPod, and It has 80GB. I lost it like 2 years ago, and barely found it 8 months ago, so I don't have the papers or anything of the iPod. I only have the iPod.

I had like 168 songs on my iPod and 3 games. That's it. My friend put the songs on my iPod. I have no idea how tought.

The Problem: I was listening to my iPod and I guess I didn't have it on hold (I hold it because it saves power) because the song I was listening to stopped. I took out my iPod from my jean pocket and I saw the iPod Logo (The Apple) This has never happened to me before. I kept pressing the pause menu, pretty much the whole buttons, but nothing happened, the picture just stood there. I ignored it and put it back on my pocket. Later on I took it out and went to the songs an nothing was there. No songs. My whole music was deleted. I went to the memory and found that I had no more memory left. I still had my games though. I cheked what was filling my iPod and it was the "other" category. I have no idea what "other" is, but it's filling up my iPod.

I have no idea what happened. Did I reset my settings? I really need your help. Has this happened to you before? If so, how can I fix it? Can I restore all of my songs? I would REALLY appreciate your help and suggestions. Thanks for your patience

I wish I were knowledgeable enough to help you, but it sounds like someone hacked your Ipod. If no one here answers (maybe none of the right people are online.. usually a few do answer), try going somewhere like Staples. I think (?) they can help you for a fee.

Do you not have the songs stored on your itunes?

I suggest you try and do a complete reinstallation of the system and it might be restored so you can use it again. Or just take it down to the local apple store.

natty- No, I havent. Good Suggestion thought

nagerous- No, as I said, my friend put the songs on my iPod. I think he used iTunes, but im not sure. And I can't tell him to put the songs in again because 1- My WHOLE memory is gone and 2- He left. He only came to visit for like 3 weeks.

I might take it to the Apple Store. Thanks for all of your help people :)
