SuperSize Stamp Competition - We have a WINNER!!

Post by isaiah40 »

Attention all Conquer Clubbers!! We want you to design the next stamp for the foundry!

We have a Draft Stamp, Gameplay Stamp, Graphics Stamp and an XML stamp. Now that we have Supersize maps available, and now having to officially apply to have your map SUPERSIZED, we are now in need of a Supersize Approved Stamp!

So during the next two weeks, we want you to create a Supersize Approved Stamp for us! After the two week period the CA's will decide which one of the Supersized Approved stamps will be the stamp to say this map has been Supersized Approved! You can submit your ideas by PM to [player]isaiah40[/player]. All entries must be submitted by Aug 30th. The winner will receive a General Contribution medal.

Rules:

1. The stamp must be no larger than 150x150 in size.
2. You can submit as many entries as you want.
3. DO NOT put your name on the stamp!

shouldn't the same person that did the other stamps work on the new one too?
unless we blatantly copy at least part of the current design we'll end up with a totally different stamp and that would be bad.
all these stamps form a set and in a set consistency is very important.

+1

It's nice that they want to do a competition, but it would be nice to be consistent. Didn't gimil create the originals? He's back on CC, maybe he could create one here and we could all vote for that one...

I agree with DiM and AceRimmer..
Competition is nice idea but we should have stamps that are consistent.

If gimil did the others, then i'm sure he'd be happy to contribute another to the set.

Again, another vote for getting gimel to do it. Let him do a few for us to vote on or let us all have a try to redo the whole lot.

The current stamps were NOT made by gimil.
The stamps were NOT made by a single person.

I understand what you are trying to say talking about consistence, although the supersize stamp won't be "part of a set".
The supersize maps are a not-standard part of the process....then they can have a not standard (or not consistent) stamp :P

Com'on guys, more drawing and less complaining just for the sake of... ;)

The current stamps were the result of a previous stamps contest, which was won by fumandomuerte. Unless there have been any changes to the stamps since then (which I don't recall) I also believe that he has made all of the current stamps :?

That said,

Game on :P

No changes my friend... they are the same fumandomuerte did for the contest.
If you notice I didn't say the "current stamp were not made by a single person", but just "the stamp". I have no idea who did the previous stamp, but I know that wasn't fumandomuerte ;) O:)

You have time, you should work on it a bit more between now and the deadline ;)

Can't wait to see the entries!

nope. that's my final entry.
and i would like to express my protest (again) towards having a supersize badge that's not part of the same set as all other badges.
either ask the original author to make one more or replace all of them.

I'm in support of DiM's stamp. It matches the spirit of super-sizing maps. Unless someone can come up with something 'better'

On another note, Frop, you'll have to change your stamp, I'm afraid Ronald is copyrighted.

I think it's good idea to post them here as well, just so to motivate other people to take a shot.

Furthermore, that's not Ronald McDonald - it's Clive, the Conquer Club Clown (who just happens to love supersizing stuff too).

I think McDonald's would think differently...

unfortunately that doesn't supersize anything. if it did it, men would probably eat it like candy. in fact i'm pretty sure all women would force feed the men buckets of viagra.
