Welcome to, hopefully, the first of many of my 'ups & downs' Tournaments.
This tournament will start with 16 players and end with 1 champion!
At the height of this tournement there will 4 leagues in operation and players will move up or down these leagues accordingly after each round of matches. At some point the bottom league will be gone and all players in that league will be eliminated. This will continue until only 1 league remains and the winner of which will be crowned the CHAMPION!
Stages 1 and 2 will be qualifying rounds. This will decide which division you will start in.
Stages 3 - 5 will be ups and downs rounds.
Stages 6 - 8 will be elimination rounds.
Stage 9 will be the Championship round.

All players will be randomly play against another opponent (using random.org)
Winners go into Pool A
Losers go into Pool B
Stage 2
Pool A players will again randomly play someone else from their same pool.
Winners will move to the Premier Division
Losers start in Division 1
Pool B players will also randomly play someone else from their same pool.
Winners start in Division 2
Losers start in Division 3
This now means there will be 4 divisions with 4 players in each[/spoiler]

You will all play each player in you league once (Meaning 3 games each)
3 points for a win, 0 points for a lose, No draws.
In the event of 2 or more players on the same points the player who won their games in the fewest rounds takes priority
After these matches you will be Promoted or relegated as follows
Premiership
Top 2 stay put
Bottom 2 relegated
Division 1
Top 2 promoted
Bottom 2 relegated
Division 2
Top 2 promoted
Bottom 2 relegated
Division 3
Top 2 promoted
Bottom 2 stay put
Stage 4
Play all players in your league once
Promoted or relegated as before.
Stage 5
Play all players in your league once
Promoted or relegated as before.

By now you have had plenty of games and time to get out of the bottom league, which is essential because after one more round of matches Division 3 will be cut and all players in this league will be ELIMINATED!
Stage 7
3 Leagues of 4 players in each left.
Play all players in your league once
All players in Division 2 after the round has finished will be ELIMINATED!
Stage 8
2 Leagues of 4 players in each left.
Play all players in your league once
All players in Division 1 after this round has finished will be ELIMINATED![/spoiler]
