Welcome to my first tournament.

Sure the Stanley cup playoffs won't start till April, but let's do it now and see what happens.

Here's how it works:

This is a 4 round, best of 7, single elimination tournament. There will 16 entrants (and 4 reserves) - pick an NHL hockey team as well as a map. You can pick any active NHL team you wish.

8 teams from the east and west conferences are available to be chosen (all teams listed below). Team selection is done on a first come first serve basis - For example, if you want Toronto (barf), but there are already 8 teams chosen from the eastern conference (or Toronto has already been chosen by someone else), it will not be available.

Once all of the teams\maps have been selected, seeds will be determined using random.org. The teams (8 from each conference) will be seeded 1-8. Seed 1 will be paired up with 8, 2 with 7, 3 with 6, 4 with 5.

Whoever the top seed in the bracket will be considered the "home" team and the lower seed will be the "away" team. This applies to all rounds. Games 1 and 2 will be played on the top seed's map, 3 and 4 on the lower seed's map, 5 on the top seed's map, 6 on the bottom seed's map and game 7 on the top seed's map. Should the same seed make it to the finals, the player with the least number of losses will be top seed. Should both records be the same, I will use random.org to determine who is top seed.

For Round 1, there will be 16 players, Round 2 will consist of 8, Round 3 will have 4 and the final round will have the last two standing to fight for the Stanley Cup!!!!
