There are so many groups that have come from London, It's got to be the most amount of music out of one city.
I've been listening to stuff on lastfm and they give you a bit of spiel about the artist and it's incredible just how many groups have come from London.
add your London originating groups / singers to this thread and if someone can come up with a more creative city for music, i'll eat some magic mushrooms and video it and upload it to youtube...

Oasis and Morrissey are both Manchester, not London. Also from Manchester ; Joy Division(and New Order), The Smiths, Stone Roses, Elbow, The Verve, Chemical Brothers, WU LYF.
