Conquer Cup II

Conquer Cup II

The Conquer Cup II is open for registration!

We've listened to your feedback on Conquer Cup I, and by far the most common critique was that you risk getting eliminated from the tournament too quickly in round 1. So for this second iteration of our signature mega-tournament, we added a second chance round. For every game in round 1, the winner advances to round 3 and the losers play each other again in round 2. Anyone who wins in round 2 gets to advance to round 3. In short, you are guaranteed a second chance and double the action!

Conquer Cup II will have 640 participants, first come first served. There is a small entry fee, but you can get in for free by earning Conquer Credits. There are lots of prizes and awards including Conquer Cup super achievement medals and a grand prize Apple iPad2 going to the winner!

The Conquer Cup is fully automated, which means the games will automatically be created and players will be automatically matched and placed into games.

Who will succeed jleaux as our reigning Conquer Cup champion??? Visit the Conquer Cup page, under the Game Menu on the left, to take a stab at it!

Jump to Speed Game

As suggested by maxfaraday after the recent Speed Game REVAMP, when you get notified that your speed game is full you will now be re-directed into the game itself. This can save a couple seconds, which can only help!

If you have other speed games waiting to fill, the game will instead open in a new tab or window, so you'll still get notified when the others become full. Please note that you will probably have to make an exception for http://www.conquerclub.com in your browser pop-up blocker for this to work!

Anti-Farming Ban

Farming is a term used to describe the forbidden practice of systematically joining games with new recruits in order to "farm" newbies for points. Farming accusations have always been tricky for our cheating & abuse volunteers, because it is normal for experienced members to play occasional games with new recruits and therefore it can be difficult to determine what constitutes abuse. At the request of king achilles, our Support Admin, I've programmed a new type of ban specifically for suspected farmers - it simply blocks you from joining games with new recruits! This should both discourage farming and be more fair for the accused.

Please read our updated Community Guidelines and king achilles' announcement of the new policy for more details.

It doesn't address whether it will be 5 player games or 6?

So the tournament games are indeed speed games then? I've always wondered how you'd get around speed games filling up when people are, say, sleeping. I imagine they'd just miss a boatload of turns?

No the games are casual 24 hour games. The speed game update is something else.

Also would like to add, 4 player games might run over the 20 round limit. Just a thought? Maybe I am wrong but I think many will.

Just a question - I thought people who were eliminated in Conquer Cup I were supposed to have an auto entry to the next tournament. Has that changed?

100 losers in the first cup were randomly drawn and gifted 500 conquer credits which could be exchanged for a place in conquer cup II.

I know it happened as I was one of the hundred and used my credits for entry.

I'm registered!

Will it begin as soon as all 640 participants have joined? How will we know the games have started?

If you have your 'Game Settings' configured to send you an e-mail when [x] 'It's my opening turn in a Conquer Cup game (by email), you can find out that way!

If you ever do a 1v1 I will play--good luck to those who play.

It would be cool to see a 1vs1 tournament. Perhaps down the line there will be one, as we continue to experiment with formats and settings!

Some people are listed as guests because they are on forum bans.

[player]albiestar[/player] supposedly has an Indefinite Website Ban. Does $5 lift that?
