CCC- Conquer Club Constitution
HI CC!
I was thinking that CC needs a constitution of sorts, one that clearly defines everything that anyone could have a problem with . Something that cannot be changed after the signing. Something that CLEARLY outlines all of the "sticky" issues mods run into. Watdoyall think?

You can read them all you want, when the owner of the site says there are issues that the rules don't address something needs to be done. I won't hold my breathe...

says the man that banned me for SIX MONTHS due to an infraction of an UNWRITTEN RULE... yeah, shit needs to be written down here, it is out of control around here... throw in a cheating conqueror that is skirting "the rules", a site owner that can't figure out how to end all of the farming and illegal point gathering, and stuff needs to be re-addressed and finally written.-el Jesus negro

Well maybe CC needs to post on the home page:
"Owner reserves the right to refuse service to anyone". That is the unwritten rule...
throw in a cheating conqueror that is skirting "the rules"
Well GLG is not cheating. He is not breaking any site rules. He really isn't even skirting any....
, a site owner that can't figure out how to end all of the farming and illegal point gathering
Well he has rules designed to end farming and illegal point gathering... He also has rules that allow us to actually play games too.
So Owen my friend - you may want to stop violating the "unwritten rule" and stick around a while.
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

Re: CCC- Conquer Club Constitution
sorry i was unclear. THe USA has a constitution. and its the job of the 9 supreme court justices to "interpret" the constitution. That is what is happening here, we just have general rules and mods get to interpret them to whatever "seems" correct. i think we should have laws that give no room for interpration. haha if im making sense? im 15 and not too good with words yet haha

Re: CCC- Conquer Club Constitution
Hmmm...a constitution? For something that is derived from a child's board game?
I will agree to a constitution as soon as people stop taking CC so damn seriously. It is a game. That's it. I play it and enjoy it and never brag to anyone that I play it. Seriously - would you? It's like D&D or WoW - you just play it for fun. (For the record, I play neither D&D or WoW. Anyone who I know who plays it will precede such admission with "please withhold judgment").
I remember playing Risk growing up, and it was only really fun when you drew numbers to create secret alliances, or make random objectives. With CC, all the rules, and the random arbitrary enforcement of the rules take away from the enjoyment of this game. Do any of you actually play the real Risk boardgame anymore? When you played the boardgame did you have some stranger looking in on the game and monitoring it and getting in your face when you trash talked your opponent or whispered a secret alliance in your neighbor's ear? NOPE! Not me! That's what made it fun and I think we all probably lost friends or got into fights about it. That is life and it is fun.
So - to answer your question, a constitution for CC? I think it will just make the game even less enjoyable because it'll give the admins/mods more power to use. Personally, I seek out games where the players are typically less than Colonel because that is an indication that they're still in it for fun and not just point-mongerering and rule-bickering. If CC made a constitution or super-strict set of rules, I'd probably set out on breaking each one so they could toss me because then the game would have lost its flair.
Besides, who needs rules? "Stick to the code! Arhhh!!"
FOR FRODO!!!!!!!!
