Welcome to my version of a Baseball Game!
A small tribute to the opening Baseball Season.

Team up and beat the other team by getting hits and scoring runs or pitch a shutout and keep the other team off the board!

Information
This is a 1v1 tournament.
No Freemiums please due to the high volume of games played at any one time.
All members will sign up and be randomly placed into two teams of 9.
Within those two teams the 'lineups' will be randomly ordered.

Players must provide a 'home map' and settings at sign-up. Please remember this map will be used for 1v1 games so please no huge maps, freestyle, or manual.

Gamplay

This Tournament will consist of three rounds. The first round will be a Baseball type game between two teams of 9.
The next two rounds will determine who, on the winning team, will win the Tournament. See round information for details.

• Each player will be a "pitcher" for 1 inning.
• While playing the pitcher the player will use their home map and settings.
• The pitcher will face at minimum 3 batters in their inning pitched.
• If the pitcher wins the 1v1 game against the batter, then it is recorded as an out.
• If the batter wins the 1v1 game then it is recorded as a single.
• Consecutive wins by the batters increases the magnitude of the basehit. (ex. 2 batters in the lineup win two games back to back then it is scored as a single and a double. 4 wins in a row would be a single, double, triple, and homerun.)
• After 4 wins in a row, if the batters keep winning against the pitcher then all hits will continue to be homeruns.
• If the pitcher wins (gets an out) in between any hits, the hits restart back at singles. (ex. batter 1 gets a win=single, pitcher wins=out, batter 3 wins=single. At that point there will be runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.)
• The innings continue until the pitcher wins 3 games (gets 3 outs), or the lineup bats around (all 9 members of the team play against the pitcher on the pitcher's home map.)
• All baserunning will be aggressive to offset the advantage the pitcher has. If there is a runner in scoring position (2nd base or 3rd base) then that runner will score on any hit. Furthermore, if there is a runner on 1st and the batter hits a double that runner on first will score. All runners on base will score if a triple or homerun is hit. (ex. batter 1 wins= single, batter 2 wins= double. 1 run scores and there is a runner on 2nd. Continuing: batter 3 loses=out, batter 4 wins=single. 1 run scored and there is a runners on 1st with 1 out.)
• The winning team will be the team with the most runs at the end of 9 innings. If there is a tie then it will go into extra innings.
• In extra innings, if necessary, the pitcher will be randomly chosen and the starting point in the opposing team's lineup will also be randomly chosen. Gameplay will proceed normally from there. A Random Map will be used for all extra innings. Settings: no spoils, chained, foggy
• All innings will be played simultaneously as to expedite the tournaments.
• The fewest number of games that a player can play in the Baseball Game round is 6 and the maximum is 18.

[spoiler=Winning Team Rounds]

• The winning team will then fight it out to see who is the All-Star on the team.
• The lineup of the winning team will be broken down into groups of 3 (First 3, Middle 3, Last 3 in order of the lineup)
• These groups will play a small round robin of 6 x 1v1 games using 1 home match, 1 away match, and 1 neutral map (played on Random Map, Settings: Auto, chained, foggy, no spoils.)
• The top player in the group will move on, if there is a tie it will be settled by the head to head matchup record. Then to number of rounds held out by the defeated players, if necessary.
• The 3 winners of the 3 groups will advance to the final.
• The play in the final will be the same as the group play. 6 x 1v1 games. 1 home match, 1 away match, 1 neutral on Random map same settings as above. Again Ties will be settled by head to head match up record, and number of rounds held out by the defeated, if necessary.
