635 Employees....Unbelievable but true.
I bet this will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
Can you imagine working for a company that only has a little more than 635 employees, but has the following Employee Statistics.
29 have been accused of spouse abuse,
7 have been arrested for fraud,
9 have been accused of writing bad cheques,
17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses,
3 have done time for assault,
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit,
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges,
8 have been arrested for shoplifting,
21 are currently defendants in lawsuits,
84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year,
And collectively, this year alone, they have cost the British tax payer £92,993,748 in expenses!
Which organisation is this?
It's the 635 members of the House of Commons.
The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.
What a bunch of crooks we have running our country - it says it all...
And just to top all that they probably have the best 'corporate' pension scheme in the country - whilst trying to ensure that everyone else has the worst possible !
(Apropos the above, yes I understand this is a very UK centric note, but I am sure most western 'developed' nations have much the same issues with their bunch of second rate thieves, liars, fraudsters, drug addicts and general miscreants more commonly known as Politicians.)
Just thought I would share this with you all.

Some of those stats probably need some fine tuning by now as I saw almost exactly that list at least 10 years ago and we have a new lot of crooks in now, but the general spirit of the message I strongly suspect still rings very true.

Staggeringly:
MPs are disqualified from office if they receive a prison sentence of one year or more. Otherwise, there is no requirement to notify the House of Commons of any existing or new conviction.

Yes, I don't doubt the approximate truth of this, but source please?

I read something similar a year or two ago in an email for Canada's members of Parliament.

For such a liberal nation I don't see why this is a problem?

The same is true of cops in Germany, and I suppose for most other people employed by the state as well. They're astonishingly often sentenced to 11 months on probation, when sentenced at all, that is.

If your statistics are valid, it is pretty astonishing. And goes to show how poor we are at choosing who should lead us. But where's the link?

Sorry to say, but this isn't that bad, in Croatia things are much worse.
It's pretty much same thing worldwide (the same behaviour).

I suspect there is a correlation between these crimes and the psychology of members of the House of Commons (or any other entity with people of high egos). I read somewhere that the police also attract a lot of psychologically deficient people (compared to other professions).
