Official CC Clan Scoreboard

Concise description:

A scoreboard that shows the current ranks of current clans, similar to the current scoreboard for individuals

Specifics/Details:

I don't know how CC would like to determine the rankings. Use the F400, or make their own, but it would help to bring attention to clans to members who may or may not know what they even are.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

Everyone likes rankings

That could be pretty sweet, but might require more clans for it to actually become useful. It might also promote too much inter-clan competition but maybe not.

How would you do it? If it were a matter of overall points you'd probably need to make membership count standard. And besides, then the Imperial Dragoons would win by default!

Number of doubles/triples games won, only versus other clan teams?

the dragoons are recriuting current hot shots, we need some other clans to evolve. countries as a basis for clan, are the way forward - thats why I've joined the CWC - english Risk players only.

come on clan members, link up to your country, not the top 50 players

but with the leaderboard their could be a ingame clan system then you could decide who is the best clan at any point in time!!!

Ok, then I would make a clan of people who have less then 500 points.

We would be the best clan here, because we would have to win only 1 in 5 games to be in the positive.

Idea needs work.

I know that this topic is from last year. But when this is implemented, would it be hard to put a which clan you're in beside your name on the scoreboard?

my logic was by baseing it on top 10 scores the rankings would have some relative credability from the start. The vast majority of sports rankings are not all started from the same position they are calculated in some way that best reflects their opening ranking - they then move up and down based on their performance against other teams. If the pts transfer methodology is solid then very quickly any initial over estimation or under estimation of rankings/score would be corrected.

Personally I would no major issue with everyone starting at the same pt eg 1000 as per our individual scoreboard but that does in some ways miss out on putting an inital valueof the clan's strength

the other down side of all clans starting with the same pts is one clan with high rankers could target the weakest clans and build up a false lead at the top of the clans scoreboard as in reality they had avoided the other high ranked competitive clans.

It would also mean that ne clans would slot into their appropriate place from the start and not be initally ranked two high or too low.

Unlike the main scoreboard where you have large numbers playing - there are fewer than 30 competitive clans so the system should reflect these small numbers.

I agree. Sounds like a damn good idea. It appears to be nothing more than "display scoreboard where player_clan = current_clan." or something like that.....instead of searching the scoreboard by name...you search by clan.
