First I am going to get the rules out of the way with, please read it entirely because I will be very strict and harsh for each rule broken (except voting, which I will only be strict about).
RULES
1:Voting
a.) All votes are to be bold and colour of your choice. (but make it a visible colour!)
b.) All unvoting is to be in bold and colour of your choice.
c.) Please unvote if you are voting someone before voting another person to keep track of votes easier.
2:Deadlines
a.) Days will last for a maximum of 14 days, once those 14 days are up NO extensions will be granted.
b.) Nights will last for a maximum of 3 days, again, no extensions will be granted.
c.) There will be a span of 1-10 days between each phase as I write the scene (and the chapter of the novel beside it). If I go over the 10 days I will make sure the scene is written and the game will progress, I will be behind in the story, but this game will continue as planned.
3: Inactivity
a.) Being as this game requires everyone, inactivity past 5 days will NOT be tolerated without a heads up that you will be inactive before hand.
b.) Even with a heads up, the max you may go is 10 days and it better not happen often. Once is okay, twice is iffy, three times you're out.
c.) When night actions are coming in if you decide to not use your actions you MUST send in a message saying you will not be using your action, if you do not, you risk being replaced (see 3a and 3b)
d.) If you are going to be away with the heads up, please send in an action that you wish to perform if the night comes and you do not show up.
4:Lynching
a.) Must have majority vote for lynch. (14 total = 8 to lynch, 13 = 7 to lynch, 12 = 7 to lynch, etc.)
b.) A majority MUST be reached for there to be a lynch, any less will not lynch the player.
5:Misc
a.) Do not quote any part of your role pm's however small, even if it's a fake claim. (This includes your role name, your role, your win condition, and any part of your biography, all of this information is STRICTLY for you, however your "actions" are acceptable to say.)
b.) Do not edit any of your posts, if you must add/change something, quote it and change it with a EBWOP below the quote, but do NOT edit.
c.) No talking at night in the forum.
d.) No talking about roles, thoughts, or feelings of this game outside of this forum until it is over.
e.) Once dead, you have no voice, do not speak once your death scene is posted.
f.) You may only communicate through pm's if your role pm specifically says you may.
g.) Read over your role pm very carefully and SAVE a copy into a text file or word file for your own benefit. Even save the night reports if you deem them necessary.
h.) No spamming, try to put everything you want to say into one post but do not make it 4-5 posts long, no one wants to see that.
i.) Finally, any questions, pm me.
Set-up
Sign-ups: Lasts until March. (maybe early-late February if it seems like we will get no more people)
Number of Players: Unlimited.
Rules: Strict.
Role restrictions: NO VT's!!!
This game takes place of course inside a mansion of which you all get to visit (Yes it's very cheesy but I want my own twist on a story like this
), and people will begin dying. Someone(s) is/are on the loose killing innocent visitors and picking them off one by bloody one. Will you survive to catch the killer(s)? Will you see the world again through your own eyes? Will you get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the mansion? I guess we'll see...A story is being written beside this game so yes it will take some time, do not panic though because this is where I will be spending my free time over the next couple of months. Completing this was my New Year's resolution, this game and the story beside it are all getting done this year! That's my plans and goals for it.
There is something... unique about this game and that's not even the roles. That is a new "Room" mechanism. There is multiple floors and rooms on each floor, this is important to the game and will be brought into play by the second day (check the end of Day 1 scene for an update on this because all will be required to enact upon it). This room mechanism is actually going to be effecting the "chance" your actions will have on another player, if you are in the basement and the one performing the action on you is say... in the attic, the chance of that action being successful is quite low. Again, keep an eye at the end of Day one for a better look on what's going on here... and if I can make it.. a map of it all
Note: Where you are in the game will not affect where the character is in the novel.
Another thing about this game that you should be aware of is this. If your character dies here, they also die somewhere in the book, but if they survive the game they will survive in the book making it unknown even to me of the outcome.
