Welcome to my first annual GP tournament. This thread will be asking for players for a month (30/4/2013 until 30/5/2013). The number of rounds will depend of the number of players. This will be a 1vs1 best-of-3 elimination tournament.
Everybody will have to choose a "home" map. In every round everybody will play a "home" game, an "away" and, if a tiebreaker is needed, a third game will be played in a random map.
Because the number of participants in this tournament may very well make some rounds get an odd number of players, one of the games in those rounds may have to be a 3-player game instead of a 1vs1 game.
Example: Quarter Finals (9 players): game1) Player1 Vs Player2 game2) Player3 Vs Player4 game3) Player5 Vs Player6 game4) Player7 Vs Player8 Vs Player9
One player cannot be in a 3-player game more than once in the tournament.
In the case of being necessary the making of a 3-player game, there will be at least 2 legs of that game (if a player wins the 2 first legs), 4 legs at most. One in each "home" map. The player with most wins advances. If everybody wins one game, the fouth game will be played as the tiebreaker in a random map.
Freemiums are welcome as long as they leave one slot open for the tournament.
Settings: auto seq escalating chained foggy NO trench 20 round limit 24 hour rounds
Invite missing policy: - One invite will be sent. If not accepted, that player's opponent will advance to the next round. - In a 3-player game, if one of the players doesn't accept the invitation, that player will be eliminated and the two opponents will play 1vs1 games to decide who advances to the next round.

Another way is to just a certain amount of players a bye in the very first round, so if you start with 60 players, 4 would get a bye, and starting in round 2, you have 32 players for a perfect bracket. Your choice.

I thought of that, but I prefer to have some 3-player games instead of giving byes. Seems more fair.
