a deadbeat's legacy; the specifics please

Post by thegurumonkey »

so after 3 missed turns, you become a deadbeat. Is this what being 'auto-kicked' means too?

Main question; if an opponent of mine misses 3 turns in a multiplayer game, what happens? Do his troops stay on the board but become neutral? Are the troops he would have got in the previous missed turns evenly spread across his territories? If so, how is this calculated?

Thank you for your time. CC is awesome, and this info will massively affect my tactics in a current game. I have looked for this info, but couldn't quite find a definitive answer.
Thanks again,

Auto kicked I believe refers to violating the rules. Dead beating is for missing three consecutive turns.

Troops remaining depend on the setting:

In Standard games, troops revert to neutral no matter what when eliminated by the system.

In Terminator games, troops will remain for an opponent to eliminate you and take your points. You will no longer be able to take a turn. If everyone but one person is eliminated for some reason, deadbeat/rule violators points will revert to the winner if not previously taken out. If you are kicked from the game due to losing conditions, your points go to the person who last attacked you. There is unique gameplay in terminator-nuclear games that acts like a losing condition when "nuking" an opponent out of the game.

In Assassin games, the troops revert to neutral. In a three player game, it will act like a normal 1v1. In four or more players, the person targeting the deadbeater/rule violator will get the deadbeater's/violator's target.

In Team and Polymorphic games, a dead beater/violator will be eliminated, and their troops, spoils, and territories go to another team member on their team

Welcome, and hope you enjoy CC! Feel free to post further here or PM a moderator with any further questions.

James hit most of it but just to clarify the answer to this part of your question is no.

What does 'violating the rules' mean exactly. I am currently in a game (id 13637550) where randomly this morning I saw two players were eliminated. The logs said they were kicked out for violating the rules. I don't understand if it was something they did in the game? Because if that is the case, I completely missed it :o

It generally means that the user had more than one account and thus was kicked for violating Rule 1.
