This is a Tournament Players Association Year 4 [TPA4] event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments which are detailed here: https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewt ... 3#p4278332

2014 FIFA WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT!!
Since this tournament involves polymorphic games, it is PREMIUM-ONLY.
You can sign up with a country if you would like to, but you do not have to.
If you do not sign up with a country, you will be assigned one.

Each match will consist of 5 games: 2 1v1 games, 1 poly 2 game, 1 poly 3 game, and 1 poly 4 game.
All games will be played on the 2014 World Cup map.
All games will be played using CC's default settings - automatic, sequential, escalating, chained, no special gameplay.
All games will have a 20-round limit.
[spoiler=Format and Scoring]The 32 players will be placed in 8 groups of 4 and will play 1 match against each of the other players in their group.
These matches will be scored as follows:
You will score 2 goals for each 1v1 game you win in or before Round 6
You will score 1 goal for each 1v1 game you win in or before Round 12
You will score 1 goal for each poly game you win in or before Round 8
These goals give the score of the match after 90 minutes.
The player with the most goals wins the match and receives 3 points - the loser receives 0 points.
If the two players have the same number of goals, the match ends in a draw and each player receives 1 point.
At the end of the Group Stage, the top two players in each group will advance to the knockout stages.
The bottom two players in each group will be eliminated from the tournament.
Group Stage tiebreakers are as follows:
- Total points earned in Group Stage matches
- Goal Difference in all Group Stage matches
- Total goals scored in all Group Stage Matches
If two or more teams are still equal after the second application of these three criteria, the teams will be ranked randomly (using random.org).
Each knockout stage match is scored the same way the group stage matches are scored.
HOWEVER, knockout stage matches cannot end with the scores level. So, if a match has no winner after 90 minutes, it goes to extra time.
You will receive one extra-time goal for each 1v1 game you win in or after Round 13
You will receive one extra-time goal for each poly game you win in or after Round 9
Extra-time goals will not be awarded for games won by round limit.
Extra-time goals are added to the score of the match after 90 minutes to give the score of the match after extra time.
If there is no winner after extra time, the match will go to penalties.
You will receive one penalty kick goal for each game you win, regardless of what round you win it in.
You will receive penalty kick goals for games won by round limit.
The team with the most penalty kick goals wins the match.
The winner of each knockout-stage match advances to the next round.
The loser of each knockout-stage match is eliminated.
The winner of the final match wins the tournament.[/spoiler]

In Group Stage:
USA would receive 2 goals for winning a 1v1 game in Round 5
GER would receive 1 goal for winning a 1v1 game in Round 7
GER would receive 1 goal for winning a poly game in Round 6
Score after 90 minutes: USA 2-2 GER
Match would end in a draw
Each team would receive 1 point
In Knockout Stage:
USA would receive 1 extra-time goal for winning a poly game in Round 10
GER would receive 1 extra-time goal for winning a poly game in Round 14
Score after extra-time: USA 3-3 GER
Match would go to penalties
USA would receive 2 penalty kick goals for winning 2 games
GER would receive 3 penalty kick goals for winning 3 games
Final score: USA 3-3 GER (2-3 PSO)
