"There was a communication error: status code is 0"

Just seems like every single game I get this and have to refresh. Bit of an annoyance...

EDIT: Title for easier finding if anyone else is having the same issue.

yes, apparently they moved the server to Geocities some time ago.

And it pisses me off that they won't ever acknowledge it.

I only get it when skipping to the next game at the same time as taking a snapshot, though I avoid speed games most of the time now.

It happens all the time. But some on this site will claim it is your fault, bad cache or whatever.

All the time. From multiple computers and devices, multiple locations (I travel all over), and multiple isps.

Don't even try and say it's at my end... Which end, all of them everywhere?

i get it regularly as well... Dont really mid much on regular games, but its a speed game killer to be sure. I guess its from all the increased traffic of people posting in the decline thread?

Most of it is a CC thing. I have a 250 MB circuit with EF on it that gives the same error across multiple devices, platforms and browsers.

The majority of it I encounter has to do (on the surface anyways) with handshakes/loading on google tracking and ads even when they are not visible in display.

I DO notice when I am off this network that the comm errors increase proportionately so there is most likely some truth to better situations with higher bandwidth connections and empty memory and cache on the user end.

Be interesting to hijack a work demarc point, tap into the BI feed and mass ping the CC server through an unfiltered 1GB up and down circuit, but even the most basic firewall would auto blackhole it for a DDOS attack.

well as far as I am concerned, if it continues I ask just what is the point in speed games or paying for the privelage of not being able to play them.

I'm not siding with anyone.. It is happening to me way to regularly for my liking. I'll see if I can give admin a prod and find out what is going on.

Yeah I get that as well. As a result, I have stayed away from speed freestyle games. I want to play them, but I just can't justify it.

Didn't have the problem for a while, having it a lot more recently.
When it is too bad I just close CC and stop playing my turns for a while, it's unbearable when you wanna play 20 games or so in the morning and each fucking turn you need to refresth 2-3 times to finish it, attack, wait, advance, wait, end assault, wait.. give up playing.
