Contest Description:
Some of you might have played the game "Mastermind" as a child. We bring you the Codebreakers: Clan Edition Contest of 2015!
Do you have what it takes to break the Conquer Club Clan Code? Try your chance to win the Grand Prize of 3,500 Credits!

The Clan Directors will be the codemakers, and have randomly selected eight clan abbreviations to use as our building blocks for the secret code.
You, the players, will be the codebreakers and will have to work together to solve the puzzle. You will only get one kick at the can per game, guess early for a chance at a larger prize, or wait until you have some additional information from previous guesses while the prize pot shrinks! Others will be trying to put their codebreaking skills to the test before you, so if you get a chance to try to break our bank -- take it! --

From the eight randomly selected clan names, the codemaker's have chosen FIVE in a specific order. This will remain hidden in our super secret locked vault in CD Land. Codebreakers will take turns trying to unlock the prize by guessing the correct five clan names in the correct order. Duplicates of clan names ARE allowed, so the codemakers could even select the same five clan names, or any combination they desire from the eight randomly selected clan names.

Codebreakers will try to guess the clan name pattern and order within twenty-five attempts. Each guess is made by submitting five names from the randomly selected clans in order via posting. Once posted, the codemakers will provide feedback by informing the code breakers two key pieces of information.
1) Codemakers will provide a number ranging from zero to five in relation for how many names were correct and in the correct position.
2) Codemakers will provide a number ranging from zero to five in relation to how many names were correct but in the wrong position.

If there are duplicate names in the guess, they cannot all be awarded a number unless they correspond to the same number of duplicate colors in the hidden code. For example, if the codemaker answer key is FALL FALL KORT KORT, and the codebreaker guesses FALL FALL FALL KORT, the CD's would award the codebreakers the following information:
three : zero
Nothing would be awarded for the third FALL, as there is not a third FALL in the secret code. No indication would be given that the secret code also contained a second KORT.

Once our information is provided, another guess will be made by a codebreaker. Guesses and feedback continue to alternate until either the codebreakers guess correctly, or twenty-five incorrect attempts have been made and the codemakers win.

Rules:
- Each codebreaker can only guess once per game
- Once a codebreaker has made a guess, no guesses will be counted until the codemakers award the information based on the last official guess. The next codebreaker to post after the codemakers will be considered the next official guess (unless that codebreaker has previously made an attempt, then the next eligible codebreaker guess will be used.
- Prizes will de-escalate based on the codebreaker guess number [See Table Below]
- If no codebreaker guesses correctly on the 25th guess, the codemakers win and a new game may start.
- Any issues, errors, or rulings will be at the full discretion of the CD's.
- The event is meant to be a fun event for all interested parties, please keep this in mind if any disputes or issues arise.

How to Play?
- CD's will start a new code breaking game
- The first player to post a codebreaking guess that is within rules will be considered the first official entry
- CD's will inform the person if they won, if they did not the CD's will provide two key pieces of information.
1) How many clan names they had correct AND in the right position (but will not give specifics as to which clan was the correct one)
2) How many clan names they had correct BUT in the wrong position (again, not giving specifics)
- The next poster will make a new attempt altered based on the information provided from the past guesses, and more information will be provided by the CD's until a winner is reached.
- Again, no repeat guessers will be allowed. You get one chance at the prize, guess early for a chance at a bigger prize, or guess later and have higher odds of getting it correct!
- Whatever attempt # is the winner, the appropriate level of prize based on the chart below will be issued to the winner.
- After 25 attempts, the game is over and a new game will start.
- Games will repeat until the CD's are no longer able to fund the prizes.
