Each issue the Clan Department plans to highlight a clan (based on current events, clan wars, or public demand) and a player by interviewing clan leaders and players! We will announce who is to be interviewed here, and you can post all your questions in this thread to be answered in the next issue! We will provide some information on the highlighted clans such as recent or historical achievements, as well as linking readers to their Clan Page so past history, recruitment, and member details will be easily accessible. You'll get the opportunity to ask the Clan's members or leadership any questions, and get to know the group as a whole on a deeper level while the Clans that are highlighted will enjoy some additional exposure and get a chance to introduce themselves to the Clan World in a new, unique way that is difficult to replicate in a recruitment thread. Clan HighlightNext edition we congratulation and will be hearing from the winners of the Clan League #7 -
Les Hussards du Dragon! [LHDD]

If you have any questions for the Dragons, fire away below! The first few people to post questions to the clan will receive a small bonus as a thank you gift!

[Warning this is a large spoiler][spoiler=IcePacks Interview]Q: Hi Ice! Thanks for participating and taking the time to do this interview! Care for some water before we start?
I'll have a Rum & Coke if the Platoon Report is buying! Am I really interrogating myself? -shines bright light in my eyes and says "ve ave vays to mik you tok!"Q: Let’s start with some general questions about myself. What do you do for work out in the “real world”?
I work for a local government agency, doing construction management on large transportation and infrastructure projects, though I dabble in a few side businesses. The main three are I own my own insurance company, designing & selling board games, and selling tasty gourmet caramel confectionery! Pretty random, but mostly just a JOAT and master of non-type guy. Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of CC?
I love to play games. I probably drive people crazy with how much time and energy I put towards playing, designing, or talking about games. Other than that, I enjoy billiards some. I also regularly go kayaking on the local rivers & lakes.Q: Are there any other games you guys enjoy playing outside of CC?
So many! Axis and Allies, Acquire, Cards Against Humanity, Cutthroat Caverns, Iron Dragon, Formula D, Texas Hold’em, Settlers of Catan, classic NES and SNES games as well. I have a walk in closet just for board games...many of which sit unopened. Yes, my name is IcePack, and I have an addiction.Q: Do you enjoy sports? If so, which ones? And do you have any favorite teams?
I grew up watching NHL (hockey), NASCAR, and football basically. I’m an Earnhardt Sr fan. Colorado Avalanche or the local San Jose Sharks for hockey, and Denver Broncos are who I usually cheer for depending on the gameQ: Who's going to win the Superbowl this year?
No idea, I'm better at predicting clan wars then any NFL Matchup. I didn't do very well in our Fantasy Football pool either, in fact [player]Pixar[/player] won it last year. Ask him!Q: What do you think your free throw shooting percentage would be if you went out and took 100 shots right now? What about from behind the arc?
Well I grew up in Canada, where basketball really isn't a sport.
Out of 100, I’d probably get 10 from anywhere. Behind the arc is the same. It’s mostly just blind luck that it goes in when I shoot hoops. Q: What is the most obscure sport from which you can name a professional athlete, and who are they?
NASCAR is probably pretty obscure to non US players. Outside of that, I really don't know...Q: What are some of your favorite movies, TV shows, books, and magazines (No, it doesn’t have to be that kind)?
Favorite movies: Boondock Saints, Horrible Bosses, the Hangover, Underworld, Inglorious Bastards, Fight Club, Office Space, Casino Royale. TV Shows: Game of Thrones, True Blood, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory,The Office (US), Coupling, Seinfield. Books: The M.Y.T.H. series, books by Grisham, I also enjoy classics like Monte Cristo, Man in the Iron Mask, Tale of Two Cities. I don’t read magazines to often. My favorite is more of a comic called Knights of the Dinner Table (KoDT). But I do subscribe to a few business type magazines for growing / upcoming food trends, business finance, etc.Q: Do you enjoy cartoons? What is your favorite cartoon now? What was it growing up?
Growing up I enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, GI Joe and the like. Now I don’t really watch any. Q: What is your favorite Disney movie?
I guess mostly the new Pixar stuff, I like Despicable Me a lot for the minions... Q: Let’s move onto music; what style(s) of music do you enjoy? What are some of your favorite bands? Songs?
I listen to pretty much anything, but if I turn the radio/music on its usually some form of rock. I really like Collective Soul, Disturbed, Staind, Halestorm and so much more. I also love celtic music, and irish drinking songs. And Stephen Lynch (musical comedian). And…well, you get the picture.Q: What was the last concert you attended?
I don't attend many concerts, I think the last one I went to was Pentatonix.Q: What is your drink of choice (alcoholic, or non-alcoholic)?
I enjoy vintage port, amaretto, sambucca, and vodka mixes. Non-alcoholic, I enjoy orange juice and diet cola. Q: What is your favorite food? What about dessert?
Lasagna is probably the most amazing thing on the planet. Probably almost anything else that’s totally rubbish for you. Burgers, pizza, poutine and the like. Dessert, I love key lime pie, sea salt caramel ice cream, sea salt caramel, and cheesecake. Q: Is there something you can do better than anyone else in the clan world? (or CC)
Probably multi-tasking. I usually have 2-3 projects on-going, multiple chats, and several text conversations going at once on any given day. I always have far to many firefox windows opened at once.Q: Name something about yourself that nobody in the clan world probably knows about you?
Not sure, I’ve been pretty open about things and quite a few people have been in the same clan for several years now. I love all things zombies, and pirates. If I had to choose, it would be pirates. Or pirate zombies. Or pirate zombie ninjas...Q: If you could live one day over again, which would it be?
My initial thought was my graduation night from High School. It went pretty terribly. But after thinking about it more so, Or the day we accidentally white water kayaked down the river. That was a day from hell and a year with multiple surgeries I would love to take back. Q: Did you choose that day because it was awesome, or because you want to redo/undo something?
For graduation, I would want to redo it. It was a small class, and everybody had to make a speech. I hung out with several groups, and none of them planned anything together so I spent most of the evening travelling.
For the kayak trip, it would be definitely be to "undo" it. What a horrible day. Q: If your life, do you think you’ve more often been dumped, or been the one doing the dumping?
I didn’t know the answer to this question, so I made a list. I love lists! It appears to be even, 50/50 with one that was mutual as a tie breaker? So…neither.Q: Do you have a “list’ with your significant other, and who’s at the top?
None that’s she’s agreed to. ☺Q: What is the craziest place you’ve made “whoopee”?
Haha. This list is too long to really narrow down properly, and pretty sure most of it would be TMI. I suppose I’m a bit of a deviant with a sketchy past.Q: Give or receive?
Why do I have to pick just one?Q: Would your last answer change if you were in jail?
Haha, yes my answer would change. To “none of the above”.Q: Have you ever had sex with a cheerleader? In the uniform? A female cheerleader?
Not sure, there were a few people I forgot to request to see their credentials/resume so I could answer future Conquer Club interviews properly.Q: What were your SAT/ACT scores?
Canada doesn’t have SAT/ACT tests, so I never did take them. Throughout high school I had 80-95% averages in my classes, except for grade 12. I had some personal things going on and my grades tapered off a bit senior year.Q: If you were to go for a doctorate or professional degree, what would you study and why?
A doctorate in awesomeness, and a professional degree in kicking ass and taking names. Or Business, whatever school I got into first.Q: Have you ever won a carnival game? Which one? If yes, did you get a giant teddy bear? If yes, what did you do with it?
Yes, a few times. Mostly in games that don’t give any sort of prizes. I did win a small teddy bear once. I kept it for a few years, until I met a family who had less than I did. I gave it along with a few other things as gifts to their children in hopes they would enjoy it as much as I had.Q: What is one question I should have asked you? Now answer that question:
It’s hard to ask myself a question that I don’t already know the answer to. So I looked up a random question. Here goes: “How do you calm down from a fight?” I usually remove myself from the situation, step out of the room, take a walk, change the subject, and re-approach it later once I’ve had a chance to calmly go through things in my head and am able to continue respectfully.Enough about that. Let’s go from you, the man – and talk about you – the player!
Q: How did you come up with your usernames, and what do they mean?
No idea, I've used this since midschool. Maybe I had a headache that day, or one was sitting next to me after a long hockey game...? Your guess is as good as mine. Q: If you had to change your name onsite, what would your new name be?
I used to go by a few others, things like Night Owl, Sloth. Maybe I'd use Gnomeland Security. Q: What do you feel has been your single biggest accomplishment within CC to date?
Probably helping the Fallen win CC5, that was pretty amazing! A long, long time goal for us as a clan and myself even dating back to when I was in KOA. Q: Who is your favorite player to play with?
I've had a lot of great partners over the years, the most regular of them have been Odeuminus and Link0983! They're always to fun to have a great pick up game with. Q: If you could remove a map off CC, which would you pick and why?
I really don't like when Hive, WWI Gallipoli, or maybe something like a few of the rail maps come up. But if I had to remove one, it'd be Gallipoli. I just don't get it. Q: If you could only keep 5 maps on CC, which would you pick and why?
Antarctica
Classic
Arms Race!
Austerlitz
WWII Europe
These are just the ones I play most often I think, and enjoy. Q: If you could reign supreme over the site, what would you change?
Hmm...this is tough, I have a few ideas on a new UI, or mobile updates. But also just fixing some of the little things that become a bear over time having to constantly work around etc. I'm a big "little details" person, so those type of things drive me nuts. Q: Let’s talk about Clans. How much time a week do you put into clan work? CC?
HA. Far to much...I mean, between the Fallen wars, threads, research, inter tournaments, Skype, planning, updating our own personal database, texting...then add in my CD Duties such as platoon report, F400, moderating, all the little things we do behind the scenes, contest creation / running, mediating disbutes, database, and other tasks....many, many, many hours a week. I'm scared to even track it. But I wouldn't be surprised if its 40+ hours a month. Q: Does being a Clan Director Volunteer feel overwhelming at times?
Not usually...thankfully I have a flexible work / home schedule. Q: What is the best part of being a site volunteer? Clan volunteer?
Really, I do a lot of it just because I know a lot of people both in clan and just the clan world in general get enjoyment from the work I do. Stuff like the F400 and planning wars is probably the stuff that excites me the most (even more then playing the game in general) Q: Do you feel the Clan Area of CC is living up to its potential?
Statistically speakikng, its doing better overall then the site. I think Clans have a lot of good things going for it that other sections of the site don't have, however I don't like to accept status quo. I always want to push for better. We can always get better. Q: If you could choose one clan to fight, which would you pick and why?
THOTA vanished right as I came onto the clan scene. It was shocking and sad at the same time, because I like to play the best. Recently we faced ACE, LHDD, and TOFU in the CC5 Finals and it was amazing (they were ranked 3rd, 2nd, 1st respectively). I'll be excited to face off vs S&M in a full war during CC6, and maybe TOP in the future. Q: What are your biggest goals for Clans in 2016?
More contests, more wars, more fun! I've got a list of things I'd like to see implimented before the end of 2016, though I can't get into to much detail at this time. If we can get them, I think it'll be big!Q: Overall, how do you feel the Clan Area went in 2015?
Pretty good, I'm a big stats guy...so as soon as I became Head CD, I implimented a few changes that allowed me to track things specifically as indicators of the Clan Worlds health overall. I'll be excited to see once we have a full years worth of data and can start comparing results year to year, month to month. Q: Now, for some closing questions. Well…, I apologize ahead of time. If you were a pokemon, which pokemon would you be?
Is there a pirate one? Or zombie? Or ninja? Or dragon...? IDK.Q: What teletubby character would you pick for IcePack to be? Why?
None!Q: Can blind people see their dreams?
- Mind Blown - Q: If you could challenge another member of the Clan Director Team to a fist fight soley based on your impression of them on the site, who would you pick and why?
Can I pick an old one? Chemefreak! Hahaha him and I actually ended up getting along in the end which was great, but I think it would be fun to strap on some boxing gloves and go at it, just for old time sake.Q: Would you rather suck on your mom’s nipple or your dad’s?
GrossQ: Why do they call it taking a dump? Shouldn't it be leaving a dump?
It should!Q: Who is your favorite person from the history of SNL? Favorite bit?
Never did watch that. Q: Have you ever taken a pie to the face? If yes, please explain the circumstances.
Not a pie, though a cake and eclaire donut....(both birthdays)Q: If you could choose a superpower, which would you choose if you could have one?
Seeing the future? Yeah, I think I would pick that. Maybe even just a day into the future...Q: If you were in jail, what crime do you suppose it would be for?
Public intoxication maybe? IDK, hard to say. I dont really dance over the lines, a non risk taker who enjoys being on the safe & conservative side. Q: Do you have any final last words, or anything to say to the Clan members at large?
Hope you all are enjoying the Platoon Report, the contests, and new events! I'd love for you all to participate with some of the mini contests and events we do, most of them have great chances to win easy credits for prizes!Q: Thank you for taking the time to read our interviews and participate![/spoiler]
