Game Creation Labels

The 1st Clan Contacts, and some 2nd Clan Contacts, have privileges to create the home games and invite their players. When creating a game use this tournament: "2016 [CL8] Second Division". For your home games label the games with your clan abbreviation first, followed by "vs", followed by the away clan. For example, the first set of Round 1 is LOW against HH, so LOW should create their home games with the following label: R1 LOW vs HH The second set is the HH home games and the label should be: R1 HH vs LOW

Posting Games

Every clan has to post their home games in the thread dedicated for that purpose: "[CL8] Active War Game Lists for Second Division Only". Do not post them in this war thread. Furthermore, you only need to post the game numbers. No need to post the map and players. Please link the game numbers to the game. You can do this by highlighting each game number and and clicking the "Game" button above the textbox.

I'm heading on vacation tomorrow for a week, so I wanted to put this out there early.

For our upcoming match, EGAD wants to enforce the 12 hour fog rule on any map where needed. Maps which the fog rule would not apply would be something like the Feudal maps, Peloponnesian War, Clandemonium, Labyrinth, etc.

Please let us know if you agree or disagree with this proposal.

You can document it here, but keep in mind that the TOs/CDs do NOT enforce any fog rules. It's all up to the clans to figure that out between themselves. BTW, you could just save the PMs.

Hey, this is actually a good place to document it...it's not like we'll be exchanging a lot of info on this thread. The infractions are not a particularly catchy subject for me..
And regarding the fog rule, even though not enforced, it's a good thing to see which teams go with it and which don't.

I for one am a supporter of the idea as I think it's a good common fair-play practice. And even though I can't vouch for the entire FAD team, I would say that the majority of the guys from the clan would have no objections playing with the "fog rule" (even though sometimes it's forgotten about.. )

Firstly, I'd like to make this very clear that I'm posting this as CL of HH and not as a CD.

Sadly, I'm of the opinion that the inability of one clan to meet deadlines - Risk Attackers - is seriously undermining this competition.

They are now on 4 infractions, two of which have resulted in clans receiving free wins. 5 games were voided against SoH and now 7 against TS. This will certainly have an affect on the final places and quite possibly will affect the top 3 promotion slots.

Unfortunately, the rules, that we all agreed on, state that expulsion will not be considered until the 6th infraction. Therefore I'm calling on RA to do the decent thing and withdraw from this competition before they do anymore damage. Then all of their results can be annulled and everyone is back on a level playing field.

I'd like to hear from other clans on this one.

I have to agree with Keefie. We do not play RA until Round 8 and, if RA maintains its current MO, they will be expelled from CL8...which would give us another bye week and the loss at potentially moving up in standings.

I am in favor of them either withdrawing and being expelled and all games against RA be annulled.

Unfortunately I can only see the eventual outcome that eventually RA suffer a 5th and 6th infraction.
Having a clan disqualified and/or kicked out doesn't in the long term help anyone.
There will be players in RA who enjoy being part of a clan and may be unaware of the current status.

If there was anything I could do to help RA - then I make that offer.

I grasp the point Keefie is making - that assuming RA commit no further infractions - those early infractions could have an impact on the final table.
We won't really know until much later on - when its also harder to find an equitable solution - if there are no penalties then you could be waiting forever for games to be filled/start - but also you don't want clans being booted after 3 or 4 infractions - after all its a friendly competition - not a matter of life and death - (there are those who see it as such mind you.... )

All in all there aren't any winners out of this and its a shame its come to this.

It pains me to say this as we won both matches with RA (albeit, 1 match by forfeits), but I would like to see RA bow out and then scratch the results of all the RA matches if they can't fill their games. Even if RA doesn't bow out and ends up getting kicked out, all of their match results should be scrubbed from the standings.
