[player]Jonofperu[/player] has graciously permitted me to use the name "Challenge Companion" which was a very successful tournament series he ran a couple of years ago. Kudos Jon, and thank you!
The idea of the Challenge Companion series is that they are tournaments run on the same setting as the Current Monthly Challenge. Thus, they allow you to kill two birds with one stone: participating in the Tournament and the Challenge at the same time, and possibly qualifying for both medals. Since the Challenges require that all games begin within the design month, these tournaments need to be short.

Tournament Design: 16-players (premium only, due to game load) will play a Qualifying round of 14 games. All 14 will be sent at once.
All games will fulfill the Challenge requirements: 4-player Gallipoli, Nuclear Foggy Trench with a 30-round limit.
Additionally, all games will be Automatic Sequential 24-hour.
Games are 4 Assassin, 4 Terminator, 4 Standard, and 2 Dubs (with random partners). Thus, if you play according to expectations (winning half of the Dubs games and 1/4 of the solo games) you will earn one of each token for the Challenge.
Half of each game type will be Chained and half will be Parachute.
The four best players will go to a Final round to determine the winner of the tournament. The Final round probably won't start until next month and therefore it will NOT qualify for the Challenge. It will be strictly for the tournament.
"Four best" is to be determined by total wins in the Qualifying rounds, with total kills as first tiebreaker, most wins in "Chained" games as second tiebreaker, most correct Assassin games (where you killed your target, not where some other fool killed him for you) as third tiebreaker, and precedence (first to sign up) as fourth and final tiebreaker.

All in to here. However, one has backed out:

thank you, keep me as a reserve if needed!
With iamkooler out and the most recent 3 in, we are at 14/16. Close, but no cigar.

1st and 2nd reserve.
This is FULL but I'm out of time for tonight. Working four 12s in a row next four days, so it might be Saturday before I get back to it. Will try to launch sooner but can't promise.
