North Korean Women's Soccer
So they have won the U-17 and U-20 events this year. Do you think they are entering an era of dominance? What are the factors that enable North Korea to succeed?

They get to eat?
I wonder who is going hungry in North Korea to feed their glorious athletes?

All outside distractions were 'taken care of'.

I always thought young women in North Korea were nothing but sex slaves. When do they find the time to train? Some of the gals are real pretty too.

As to what? The walking skeletons that make up the bulk of their population?

They pump them with hormones and testosterone, like the East German women's teams of old?

Re: North Korean Women's Soccer
women's soccer isn't that competitive, and youth team is really still doing baby steps. so the north korean thought there was a loophole there, and started investing and training a lot for this before it becomes hype.
Women's football is slowly starting to grow in europe, at different paces (countries like germany or sweden have been very good at this for many decades while others such as spanish or italians never gave a f*ck; france is starting to take interest since the 2011 world cup)

These North Korean women have a good reason to win.
They could face starvation and labor camps if they don't come back with a win!
