I've played the Haiti map a few times, and I thought it was interesting one of the regions is named Monet. I wanted to learn more about it, so I looked it up, and… apparently there's no Monet anywhere in Haiti?
I know all about trap streets, so I realize there's a rich history of maps including fake stuff. I've been assuming I was learning geography by playing Conquer Club, though. Is Monet just a rare case of someone being cute and including an in-joke, or are lots of the maps less than accurate? Or is there actually a Monet in Haiti unbeknownst to Google?

Re: Haiti map
It’s not going to be perfect, some maps are adjusted for gameplay reasons so borders, names etc might be modified.
Looks like that region was called Manneville originally, then was split to the new names here:

You can read the discussion about any map and find this info if you’re interested.

Thanks for the link! I haven't had time to read through the thread, but I love the learning about the evolution of things.

Re: Haiti map
It appears on these two maps:
https://www.amazon.com/Dominican-Republ ... B076P3H65L
https://www.avenzamaps.com/maps/731675/haiti-itmb
Today, it's just the far northern suburb of Port-au-prince.
The Google map of Haiti is not very good. For example, Google will tell you there's no such place as Crochu, and they put the Episcopal Church of Crochu in a place called "Terre Blanche".

Re: Haiti map
Maybe GOOGLE is wrong, and the CC mapmaker was right! Does we have any Haitians on CC?

DoomYoshi has mad search skills. Finds things nobody else can.
I can't even see it on the first map, but I found it on the second one.

Thank you!
I finally read through the earlier Haiti thread and am grateful there's a Haiti map at all. That got ugly at times.
