Disregarding the above advertisement, what does discord provide in terms of getting speed games going that say, searching for open speed games and joining them does not? I'm legitimately curious.

To be honest, I close CC so much that I'd never start a speed game, because I'd likely forget, close CC and if I'm very unlucky, deadbeat a speed game that someone joins.

Now if someone did an '@here anyone wanna speed,' and we set up a game (settings/map) on discord and then invited one another, it seems like I'm less likely to forget.

Is there some reason invites to speed games often (but not always) time out right away? There's no way five people I know personally rejected my invites that fast in the middle of the night.

i dont know that they do time out? i've had invites sitting for awhile on speed. sounds like they are in fact rejecting you.
