Noooo! I started playing on CC exactly in this way. Okay, it was a 4 player game, but the principle was the same. We were all chatting in a Skype voice call and one of them is like "any of you want to play Risk? Shannon, sign up here." Various people from the same website came here to play, but I kinda went my own way after the first game. A few of them were a bit troll-y.

It's really not strange that people who already know each other play together here. It might be strange if they were joining other people's single player games as a group.
